Yogi Government is the best Government yet for Uttar Pradesh. And, of course, there is a reason for the same. Analysing the Yogi government on various parameters from economy to development and law and order in the state, one can claim that he has delivered what he had promised four years back. In yet another exemplary move, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stepped in with the decision to construct houses for the poor on properties seized from gangsters and mafia.
Houses for the poor on land seized from mafias
CM Yogi laid the foundation of 75 houses being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Prayagraj on Sunday. Interestingly, the houses are being built for the poor on a piece of land seized from the illegal possession of Mafia-turned-politician and ex-MP Atiq Ahmed. While addressing a gathering during the event, Yogi said that “Government properties seized from the mafia would be used to construct houses for the poor and the government putting an end to the atrocities of unscrupulous elements was building homes for the poor by destroying the havelis of criminals.”
CM added, “Before 2017, properties of the poor and businessmen were illegally grabbed by the mafia and others. Today, the foundation stone of the housing scheme for the poor has been laid by performing bhoomi pujan on land occupied by the mafia.”
Meanwhile, he also launched various government schemes for Prayagraj and Kaushambi districts. He inaugurated plans worth Rs 157.78 crore including eight schemes worth Rs 89.60 crore and stone laying of 23 projects worth Rs 68.18 crore.
Yogi Governments’ zero tolerance towards crime
Uttar Pradesh had been infamous for its hooliganism and mafias whose writs had run unchecked in the state. However, Yogi’s encouragement to nab gang lords and gangsters has instilled fear in the dreaded dons of Uttar Pradesh. Criminals have started surrendering voluntarily. And they have seen their empires collapsing to the ground right before their eyes.

Lodged in jails outside Uttar Pradesh, Atiq Ahmad who was once a popular gangster in the state is now witnessing the gradual implosion of the empire set up by him. As earlier reported by TFI, actions were taken against eighty-nine members of the Atiq gang and their movable and immovable properties worth Rs 320 crores were confiscated and demolished.
Gangster turned MLA Mukhtar Ansari has also been destroyed by CM Yogi Adityanath. It has destroyed Ansari’s illegal empire at a menacing pace as alleged illegal properties worth crores of rupees related to the mafia don in Lucknow, Mau and Ghazipur have been demolished by the state agencies.
Now, the Yogi Government’s decision to build houses on the land seized from Gangsters will equilibrate the economic status of Uttar Pradesh. And those without a shelter in their head will now have a house to reside in.
