Recent few years have witnessed Assam being transformed from a Bangladeshi-friendly state under former governments to a proud Hindu one under current CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. But, hard-line Islamist parties like AIUDF are still not able to accept the reality. Now they have decided to claim Aurangzeb’s legacy on one of the most famous Kamakhya Mandir in Assam.

Aminul Islam tries to glorify Aurangzeb:

Aminul Islam, current General Secretary & Chief Spokesperson of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has come up with a blatantly absurd claim that Mughal tyrant Aurangzeb played a key role in establishing the current structure of Kamakhya Mandir at Nilacal Hills in Guwahati.

According to Aminul, the same Aurangzeb who left no stone unturned in massacring Hindus was kind enough to donate land for the purpose of establishing one of the four primary Shakti peeths. He further claimed that Kamakhya Mandir is just one of them and the blood-thirsty Mughal went on to donate lands for several other Mandirs in India.

Aminul also announced that he has historical documentary pieces of evidence to substantiate his claim. Asserting his claim, Aminul uttered, “The permit of land allotment given by Samrat (Aurangzeb) still exists in Kamakhya Temple likewise there are land allotment permits in various other Hindu temples in India”.

Complaint filed against Aminul:

Unlike the previously forced silence observed in an attempt to distort history, this time Hindus have fought back on Aminul. A Facebook post is going viral in which a copy of a complaint against Aminul in the Dispur police station. A closer analysis of the complaint letter will tell you that it has been filed by Sri Satya Ranjan Borah, president of Kutumba Surakshya Mission, a Hindu organisation.

Sri Satya has accused Aminul on various counts such as abuse of faith, molestation of the dignity of Maa Kamakhya, distortion of facts, and mocking the values of Sanatan Dharma and propagation of Islamic fundamentalism. Additionally, AIUDF member is also accused of violation of section 51 A (c), 51 A (e), 51 A (f), 51 A (j) of the constitution of India.

Himanta warns Aminul:

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the firebrand Assam Chief Minister has also launched a scathing attack on Aminul. In his fierce reply to the radical politician, Himanta said that not even Aurangzeb’s father could enter Assamese territory. Citing Congress’ Sherman Ali’s jailing as an example, he issued a warning to Aminul Islam and said, one is in jail, Sherman is in jail and if these kinds of statements are made, then Aminul would also end up in Jail”

Himanta further added that he is all in for any kind of criticism, but any attack or insult against Assamese rich cultural heritage would not be tolerated. In a strict reprimandation to religious fundamentalists, Shri Sarma said, “We never use Mohamad, Jesus Christ, in political attacks, but anybody who insults our idols will have to eat jail food.”

Kamakhya Mandir has a rich Hindu history:

Kamakhya Mandir at Nilacal hills in Guwahati, Assam is one of the oldest and most revered Mandirs in India. It is one of the four primary shakti peeths. The current structure of the Mandir is a clear vindication of Archaeologists’ claim that it has a rich Hindu history. The oldest traceable part of the Mandirs is at least 1200 years old, dating back to the 8th century. Its most recent structure is supposed to be given to it during 16th and 17th century AD.
