The plot thickens: Did Hemant Karkare’s death make Param Bir Singh ‘destroy’ Ajmal Kasab’s phone?

Param Bir Singh, Kasab, Hemant Karkare

13 years after 26/11 – the worst terror attack in Indian history, it was revealed by Retired Assistant Police Commissioner Samsher Khan Pathan that former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, who is currently absconding, “destroyed” a mobile phone seized from the 26/11 terror attack convict Mohammed Ajmal Kasab. The shocking revelation has compelled us to dig deep into the matter to understand why Param Bir Singh destroyed the evidence?

Parambir Singh ‘destroyed’ Ajmal Kasab’s phone

Earlier as reported by TFI, Param Bir Singh – who back then was posted as a DIG with the anti-terrorism squad, took Ajmal Kasab’s mobile phone from the custody of a constable and never returned it. Param Bir Singh did so without intimating his seniors, thus raising suspicion on the motives behind such an unwarranted and brazen seizure by a man who is known to have remained a loyal pet of many political masters. It is to be noted that, on the night of 26/11, Ajmal Kasab was one of the two Pakistani terrorists who happened to ‘run into’ the three police officers, including Hemant Karkare and gunned them down.

What happened that night?

Ajmal Kasab and Ismail were in a car, driving to reach the destination to carry out further attacks. While crossing a residential area, the two terrorists ran into the three cops who were also on their way for duty, and they got into a gunfight. Surprisingly, Kasab and Ismail, who were not attacking cars as they wanted to reach their destination, suddenly got into a gunfight with Hemant Karkare.

What does this suggest?

For all high-voltage political cases, and ones that served the purpose of the Congress government, Karkare was the man who was roped in. In 2008, the focus before the 26/11 attacks was on the Malegaon bomb blast, in which the Congress tried to spin a false narrative of Hindu terror engulfing India. In either case, when it came to ‘Hindu terror’ – Hemant Karkare knew everything.

Is it, therefore, possible that terrorists did not gun down Hemant Karkare, and he was taken down by his people? And, perhaps, Kasab had instructions or information about Karkare’s location in his phone? Did Param Bir Singh, who had good connections with political leaders knew any sensitive information on Karkare’s killing?

Ajmal Kasab, a terrorist from Pakistan who was responsible for more than 160 killings on 26/11, is not supposed to have any relation with Param Bir Singh. Then, what was the reason behind Param  Bir Singh destroying the evidence? What were the secrets in Kasab’s phone that the nation could not know?

Long story short, ever since Retired ACP Pathan has revealed the shocking truth of Param Bir Singh, the plot has thickened, and it is being speculated that there’s something mysterious behind Hemant Karkare’s killing. Thus, the case needs to be investigated, and the truth should come to light.
