Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, a non-performing asset, keeps glorifying Pakistan in a bid to show his love for the country. Despite Pakistan’s support for Islamist terrorism, Sidhu has maintained a close friendship with the nation and Prime Minister Imran Khan. In a recent development, Sidhu has made a shameful move of requesting the opening of borders adjoining Pakistan.
“We should open the borders”, says Navjot Singh Sidhu
While being greeted by a Pakistani official during the visit to a Gurdwara at Kartarpur Sahib, Navjot Singh asserted, “I request that if you want to change Punjab’s life, we should open the borders (for cross-border trade). Why should we go through Mundra Port, a total of 2100 kms? Why not from here, where it’s only 21 kms (to Pakistan).”
After Mohammad Latif, Chief Executive Officer of the Project Management Unit of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur, welcomed Sidhu on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistani nation, Sidhu responded, “I am honoured. Mera bada bhai hai, Usne bada pyar diya hai (He is my elder brother. He has given a lot of love).”
During the visit, he was accompanied by Punjab Sports minister Pargat Singh, Revenue Minister Aruna Chaudhary, several Congress MLAs, and an MP.

However, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh slammed Sidhu and has stated, “Sidhu is Congress’s agent for Pakistan”.
Chugh said, “It is most unfortunate for Punjab and the country that Sidhu, while in Pakistan, has no words of praise for his motherland, and is instead singing praise of the Pakistan Prime Minister who has been sending drones and tiffin bombs to Punjab.”
“Sidhu is more in love with Pakistan than India and is behaving like a Pakistan agent in Punjab here. AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should explain their party’s stand on Pakistan,” he further added.
Sidhu – The Pakistani Sympathiser
As earlier reported by TFI, Sidhu is famed for having embraced Pakistan’s chief of army staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Furthermore, Sidhu ends up aiding Pakistan in its goal to destabilize India as the former does not go hard on Khalistani elements in Punjab.
The former cricketer turned politician and the new state President, Navjot Singh Sidhu, had also installed a notorious advisory panel and appointed Pyare Lal Garg and Malvinder Singh Mali as his trusted lieutenants. Malvinder Singh Mali – Sidhu’s aide, in a shocking development, had described Kashmir as a separate ‘country’ in his Facebook post. Mali had written a feature-length post on his Facebook wall and regurgitated his venom and hatred for India and its inalienable territory. Pyare Lal Garg, meanwhile, had questioned Captain Amarinder Singh’s criticism of the terrorist state of Pakistan. Garg showing his full sympathy for Pakistan had said any criticism of Pakistan by Captain was not in the interest of Punjab.

Amarinder against Sidhu for Punjab’s security
Considering Sidhu’s close relations with Pakistan, Amarinder fears that if he rules the state, the internal security situation in Punjab will get worsened. After giving his resignation, he had said, “I’ve said it from day 1 that he went. He’s a friend of Imran Khan, I said to not go, I was CM, he didn’t listen. Then he hugged Bajwa. Then he takes credit for Kartarpur. I asked why he hugged Bajwa when daily my Jawans were being killed at the border. He doesn’t care, he’s only interested in himself and his contacts in Pakistan. So what is there, what isn’t, is not for me to say, it’s for the central agencies to see.”

Amarinder has been working around the clock to throw Pakistan’s man Sidhu out of the state because of his pro-Pakistani stances. There is no doubt in the fact that Navjot Singh Sidhu is a dangerous element, and the people of Punjab must be wary of him.
