“Delhi Riots were planned” – Delhi High Court says what everyone knew all along

Delhi Riots, Court

On Monday, the Delhi High Court while refusing to grant bail to an accused named Mohd Ibrahim involved in a case concerning the northeast Delhi riots of 2020, declared that “there was a pre-planned and pre-meditated conspiracy to disturb law and order in the city” and the events “did not take place in a spur of the moment”.

While dealing with a bail application moved forward by accused Mohd Ibrahim concerning the murder of Delhi Police head constable Ratan Lal, Justice Subramonium Prasad observed that “there was a systematic disconnection and destruction of the CCTV cameras in areas near the place of the incident” and “innumerable rioters ruthlessly descended with sticks, dandas, bats, etc. upon a hopelessly outnumbered cohort of police officials”.

Ibrahim was arrested in a murder case last year in March and now he had claimed that he was falsely accused. Although the court acknowledged the fact that Ibrahim cannot be seen at the scene of the crime but he “has been clearly identified on multiple CCTV footages, carrying a sword and instigating the crowd”, which was “quite egregious” and sufficient to keep him under custody.

The Delhi high court observed that “This Court has previously opined on the importance of personal liberty in a democratic polity, but it is to be categorically noted that individual liberty cannot be misused in a manner that threatens the very fabric of civilised society by attempting to destabilise it and cause hurt to other persons.”

Back in May this year, the Delhi high court dismissed the bail request applied by Tahir Hussain, former AAP councillor, regarding his connection with two Northeast Delhi riots cases, the court claimed that he used his “muscle power and political clout to act as a kingpin in planning” and this further instigated the communal riots. The court further stated that “Hussain did not use his hands and fists” but the rioters were used as “human weapons” that could have killed anybody, and denied his bail.

“The criminal conspiracy had instigated the rioters of a particular community and provided logistic support like lathis, dandas, stones, acid bottles, knives, swords, firearms, etc. to the rioters at the roof of his house itself,” Special Public Prosecutor Amit Prasad further added

As extensively reported by TFI earlier, Tahir Hussain has admitted to having masterminded the entire riots, in order to teach ‘Hindus a lesson’. Hussain told the police that he wanted to do so using his money and political power. It must be remembered that Tahir Hussain was suspended by the AAP only after his role in orchestrating the riots to specifically target Hindus was revealed.

Jamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha who was arrested in May 2020 for his alleged role in the Delhi riots during interrogation to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police confessed to instigating people to start riots over CAA in Delhi. He also confessed to torching buses and laid bare his desire to turn India into an Islamic republic, according to Zee News.

Hence, it is pretty evident that Delhi Riots did not occur naturally at the spur of the moment, instead, the riots were systematically orchestrated and a planned conspiracy by anti-India elements and this has already been researched and predicted by TFI previously. The Delhi HC’s dismissal of bail to Mohd Ibrahim and other anti-Indian elements is indeed a tight slap on the so-called liberals and leftist media from spreading fake propaganda.
