On Thursday, it was revealed that China deployed Huawei, a Chinese tech giant, to save the face of Kerala’s Communist government by sponsoring articles praising the Kerala model of Covid-19 management, while CPI(M) returns the favour by congratulating China(CCP) on Twitter for administering 200 Mn vaccine doses of COVID-19 vaccines to its inhabitants.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and politicians cutting across party lines hailed the momentous achievement of India reaching a milestone by administering more than one crore vaccines does in a single day under its nationwide mass vaccination drive against COVID-19, CPI-M in a tweet lauded China for administering 20 crore vaccines. Seems like CCP is busy assisting CM Vijayan in whitewashing his crimes of mismanaging the pandemic.
Taking to Twitter, the official handle of Tamil Nadu CPI-M shared a graph image that included details about China’s vaccination drive with a caption, “China has achieved the record of vaccinating 200 million doses of its citizens.” It also carried a picture of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Interestingly last month, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury had not only lauded China for tackling the COVID-19 pandemic but also commended Beijing for pursuing a “peaceful foreign policy.”
The Chinese Embassy in India had organised a virtual conference at the Chinese embassy in Delhi to mark the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China on Tuesday. The online seminar was hosted by Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong and CPC’s international department counsellor Du Xiaolin. A section of prominent Indian Left Front leaders and a DMK parliamentarian participated in the virtual event.
The article was published on Reuters with the heading “Kerala’s COVID-19 lessons for India and Modi’s government.” The propaganda article, written by Reuter’s Krishna Das, not only attempted to give a clean chit to the Kerala government but also propagated that the Kerala model may serve as a Covid management lesson for the Union government.
Although The Kerala model has miserably failed India’s resolute to end the woes of the suffering people, The CCP sponsored article suggested that the Kerala Model could help India evade the third wave amidst the soaring infection numbers. The report quoted Kerala Health Minister Veena George as saying that “We do have a different model and our fatality rate shows our model is on the right track.”
The hypocrisy of the Communist party is well displayed here as the Chinese government after being the origin of the Covid 19 virus and spreading it to the rest of the world is rushing to rescue its comrades in India and the Communist-led Kerala government. Kerala is ranking top in the daily number of covid 19 deaths with almost 70 per cent of all new Covid-19 cases in the country, is applauded by the CCP for successfully tackling the same. This interference by the Chinese company in India’s internal affairs is highly alarming and it should be dealt with heavy-handedly by the Central government.
