“Apna Time Aayega” beat “Teri Mitti” possibly because Bollywood liberals preempted Muntashir’s nationalism

Poet and lyricist Manoj Muntashir have become the latest nationalist to be cancelled by the snowflakes of the left-liberal brigade. Mughal apologists, Islamists and other seculars descended upon Muntashir after he released a video where he questioned the barbarity of the Mughal rulers and asked the audience to choose their heroes and villains wisely.

In the video title ‘Whose heir are you? Choose Your Legacy And Your Heroes!’, Muntashir termed Mughal rulers like Akbar and Humayun ‘glorified dacoits’ and claimed that people were brainwashed over the centuries. Opening the video, Muntashir said that people (Hindus) have left their history unclaimed for several centuries.

“For the last several centuries, we have left the land of our history unclaimed. We were brainwashed to such an extent that suddenly in our pre-primary textbook, instead of G for Ganesh, we are taught G for Gadaha (Donkey) and we did not even get a crinkle on our forehead,”

Manoj questioned why there is mention of Akbar removing Jaziya on Hindus, but there is no mention of the fact that he had imposed Jaziya again later during his tenure as the ruler.

“How his (Akbar) tenure as the ruler be the best in the history when thousands of Hindus were killed for not converting to Islam. If his tenure was the best, what was Ram Rajya?”

While it might appear that Muntashir is being cancelled after his video created a storm on the social media platforms, a rough look back suggests that he was cancelled a long time ago after the Bollywood brigade smelled his nationalism and patriotism for the country.

As reported by TFI last year, the Filmfare Award for best lyricist was accorded to Divine and Ankur Tewari for the obnoxious Gully Boy song ‘Apna Time Aayega’ over gems like ‘Teri Mitti’ and ‘Ve Maahi’, penned by none other than Muntashir. The snub from the industry and the paid Filmfare fraternity had prompted Muntashir to boycott all awards till his last breath.

The Filmfare awards had gone overboard with their overblown appreciation of Gully Boy as the film bagged 13 awards including all the major ones. The song ‘Teri Mitti’ stood out in the film as it managed to spur the emotions of Indians as the song beautifully captured what it means to sacrifice one’s life for their country. Muntashir rightly felt insulted and hence decided to not attend any award function till his last breath.

Although it would be foolhardy to think that Filmfare who awarded the best debut actor (female) to Ananya Pandey for her role in ‘Student Of The Year 2’ cared to award the best talent in the country.

While Muntashir has launched a front with a single video, he is expected to pay the heavy price for it as the liberal gang of Bollywood will most certainly boycott him. The same Bollywood works on the virtue of nepotism and sneers down upon anyone having nationalistic credentials.

Although it’s a different kettle of fish if you are an Islamist, misogynist, murderer or a bigot or one who has connections with the underworld. In that case, you would be welcomed with open arms in the industry.

Muntashir doesn’t have the same standing as actors such as Akshay Kumar or Ajay Devgn who can do nationalistic movies and yet do not get hounded. However, the same cannot be said about Manoj who works in the sub-industry, where the Akhtars and Ludhyanvis have created an unruly mess of Urdu-fication of the industry.

Muntashir must know that he will be cancelled, and yet he took the brave step of calling out the liberals and awakening Hindus from their slumbers.
