Pakistan-Taliban nexus: Daughter of Afghan ambassador in Islamabad was kidnapped, tortured and thrown

Imran Khan, pakistan

Pakistan is an ally of the Taliban. With the withdrawal of the United States from war-torn Afghanistan, the Taliban is all set to take over the country very soon. The civilian government of Afghanistan, based out of Kabul is perhaps the biggest domestic roadblock to the Taliban usurping power in the country. Since Pakistan is an ally of the Taliban, it is doing its part to ensure that the civilian government of Afghanistan understands what it is up against, and willingly gives up power to the terror organisations. As such, in a brazen development, Silsila Alikhil was kidnapped on Friday.

Silsila Alikhil is the daughter of Najibullah Alikhil – Afghanistan’s sitting ambassador to Pakistan. The ambassador’s daughter, according to her medical report, was kidnapped around 1:45 pm on Friday, and was retrieved around 7 pm on the same day. That an ambassador’s daughter was kidnapped possibly to send a message to the civilian government in Kabul speaks volumes about the terror state’s commitment to the Taliban. But Silsila was not just abducted by Pakistan. She was brutally tortured as well.

According to news agency ANI, which was quoting Afghanistan’s TOLO News, “Silsila Alikhil, daughter of Najibullah Alikhil the Afghan ambassador in Pakistan, was kidnapped and tortured before being released. Foreign ministry condemns the act and calls for safety to Afghanistan’s diplomatic mission in Pakistan.”

According to Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry, “On July 16, 2021, daughter of Afghan ambassador to Islamabad, Silsila Alikhil, was abducted for several hours and severely tortured by unknown individuals on her way home. After being released from kidnappers’ captivity, she’s in medical care at hospital.”

The statement added, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns this heinous act and expresses its deep concern over the safety and security of diplomats, their families, and staff members of the Afghan political and consular missions in Pakistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on Govt of Pakistan to take immediate necessary actions to ensure full security of Afghan Embassy and Consulates as well as immunity of the country’s diplomats and their families in accordance with international treaties and conventions.”

According to the victim’s medical report, she suffered severe ENT bleed and also had swelling in her occipital region. This was accompanied by vomiting, fits, pain between legs and throughout the body. Furthermore, she also had rope marks, showing that she was tied tightly while being tortured by Pakistan’s professional mercenaries.

Pakistan, meanwhile, has asked the civilian government of Afghanistan to not dislodge the Taliban from Spin Boldak area. If it does so, Pakistan warned, such action will be met with retribution by its air force. Interestingly, an Indian journalist – Danish Siddiqui was killed in the same area where Pakistan seems to be providing air support to Afghanistan. Besides, the terror state is also giving treatment to Talibani terrorists at the bordering town of Chaman.

In a new low, for Pakistan to kidnap the Afghan ambassador’s daughter and torture her brutally shows just how anti-human the terror regime in Islamabad and Rawalpindi is.
