“Give your CM to us”, Australian MP is so impressed with Yogi that he wants Yogi’s COVID model in his country

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has no less than worked a miracle in the most populous state of India, and his successful efforts are beginning to garner international recognition and applause. As India was devastated by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Uttar Pradesh ensured minimal suffering, and quickly overcame the Covid-19 curve. Today, Uttar Pradesh – despite its population, is among the states which are reporting the least Covid-19 infections on a daily basis, and its test positivity rate is also remarkably low. From Australia to Canada, chief minister Yogi Adityanath is fast turning into a sensation.

An Australian Member of Parliament, Craig Kelly has been spellbound for the past few days at the way the Covid-19 crisis was first mitigated, and then overpowered in Uttar Pradesh. While lauding the effective leadership of Yogi Adityanath, the Australian MP said that the state administration effectively provided ‘Ivermectin’ to save the lives of its critical Covid-19 patients. He also asked for Yogi Adityanath to take over the leadership in Australia so that he can release Ivermectin and sort out the mess that state premiers in Australia have created.

In late June, Craig Kelly had praised the state of Uttar Pradesh for successfully “smashing” the “scary” Delta variant. The Australian MP has also in the past taken shots at international media for ignoring Uttar Pradesh’s success story in controlling the pandemic. In his tweet, Kelly had said, “The Indian State of Uttar Pradesh is crushing covid – but the world’s media and W.H.O refuse to tell the truth of how they are doing it.”

Meanwhile, Patrick Brauckmann, a Canadian investor has also lauded the UP model of Covid management, referring to the effective leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in “crushing the curve”. Patrick Brauckmann tweeted, “Uttar Pradesh, the most populated state in India with 230 million souls… with solid leadership from a Yogi was able to seasonality crush the curve.”

The Uttar Pradesh government has followed the ‘3T’ formula of tracing, testing and treatment aggressively to tackle the rise in cases in both urban and rural areas. The ‘UP Covid Model’ has also won laurels from several expert bodies such as World Health Organisation (WHO) and NITI Aayog, who have asked other states to replicate the mechanism. While the world begins appreciating Yogi Adityanath’s leadership in Uttar Pradesh, Indian media is preoccupied with trying to ignore the recipe for disaster which has been cooking in states like Maharashtra and Kerala – which will lead to yet another catastrophe in India.
