Even if you have criminal history, you can be an NYT Journo, but you must be a Modi hater

New York Times, PM Modi

It isn’t a normal thing to hate PM Narendra Modi. However, it looks like New York Times (NYT) took this thing way too seriously. We are not making this up, but for NYT, if you are a Modi hater, you are most welcome, even if you have a ‘criminal history’.

Yes, you read that right. We were introduced to this legendary requirement by none other than noted filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. He tweeted a job description by the NYT, with regards to a job in the South Asia Business Correspondent Department.

To quote one of the mentioned paragraphs in the NYT job description, “India’s future now stands at a crossroads. Mr. Modi is advocating a self-sufficient, muscular nationalism centered on the country’s Hindu majority. That vision puts him at odds with the interfaith, multicultural goals of modern India’s founders. The government’s growing efforts to police online speech and media discourse have raised difficult questions about balancing issues of security and privacy with free speech. Technology is both a help and a hindrance”.

However, the rants didn’t just end there. What further exposed the real intentions of the New York Times was the following paragraph from their alleged job description. To quote it, “The New York Times company is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of an individual’s sex, age, color, race etc………The New York Times Company will consider qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of the applicable state and local ‘Fair Chance’ laws.”

So, if you hate PM Narendra Modi, it seriously does not matter if you are a rapist, or a murderer, or even a bootlegger. All that matters is how much you abhor the man who hails from Vadnagar, and who currently occupies the residence at 5, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi as India’s Prime Minister. Probably this is why New York Times is even ready to employ the likes of Kunal Kamra to do their bidding against India.

It is no surprise that New York Times has been vitriolic against India from the very beginning. It is the same portal that published a very racist cartoon when India successfully launched a mission to Mars on debut in 2014. The way New York Times has indirectly admitted that they can go to any length to defame PM Modi, which including even fielding criminals against him, proves how low they have stooped in their fight to pull him down, by hook or by crook.
