In the Banka district of Bihar, a bomb that was put in a trunk in Madrasa exploded, taking the life of Maulvi and injuring 4 people. The Madrasa in which the bomb was put had been closed a few months ago due to Coronavirus lockdown. However, the investigative agencies are in pursuit of the injured people as they fled the scene after the incident. Many men from the surrounding areas also fled the scene after the blast and the women in the area are not cooperating with the investigative team.
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has arrived at the site and is investigating the details behind the explosion. “Samples being sent to forensic lab for further analysis. As per preliminary probe, samples have an odour of gunpowder. Final tests to reveal the actual results,” said a member of the FSL team as per ANI.

The masjids have become a centre for all kinds of illegal activities in Bihar, from love jihad to terrorism. In Muslim dominated Eastern Bihar, the girls of Dalit families are being abducted by Muslim goons for marriage. The boys from the Muslim families are bringing the girls of Dalit families, forcefully converting them into Islam in Deep Nagar Masjid in order to marry them.
More than 80 per cent of the cases of Love Jihad are related to religious conversions, not love, thus making the term ‘love jihad’ a misnomer in itself. So far, five BJP-ruled states- Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Assam– have promised to bring a law to address the rising number of cases of love jihad in India. What the BJP ruled states are trying to address is an unlawful conversion practice because religious conversion is the motive behind most of the cases of love jihad.

However, the government of Bihar, under the ‘secular’ leadership of Nitish Kumar, is yet to bring any law on Love jihad. If there is no change of guard in the leadership on Bihar, the state would soon become like Mamata Banerjee ruled West Bengal where Muslim goons have a free hand to terrorise the Hindu population of the state.
The Madrasas, many of which are financed by state governments, have become hubs for extremist education and extremist activities. A few days ago, Kerala High Court came down heavily on the Pinarayi Vijayan led Kerala government as the Court pondered why the government was financing a religious activity.
The Court asked, “In Kerala, these are involved purely in a religious activity. What is the purpose of contributing funds by the state for a religious activity?”
The state governments in Uttar Pradesh and Assam are transforming the Madrasa from a ‘religious school’ to a place for modern scientific education, and the government in states like Kerala and Bihar, where students are heading for extremist activities after education, needs to follow the same.
