Twitter got itself a nice big grave to rest in peace dug by the Congress party

Twitter acting on behalf of Congress had flagged BJP spokesman Sambit Patra’s harmless tweet against the Congress toolkit as ‘manipulated media’, thereby acting as an investigative body that was granting guilty and non-guilty certificate to its users. After being called out by the Indian government which asked it to drop the tag, the micro-blogging platform refused to comply and instead released a dramatic letter where its indifferent saviour complex was on full display.

However, clipping the wings of the bird app, the Delhi Police yesterday released a point by point rebuttal of Twitter’s statements and exposed Jack Dorsey and his dubious double standards.

“We have come across press reports that quote Twitter Inc. statements pertaining to the ongoing inquiry by us. Prima facie, these statements are not only mendacious but designed to impede a lawful inquiry by a private enterprise,” news agency ANI quoted Delhi Police officials as saying.

The Delhi Police on Thursday said the micro-blogging was refusing to cooperate with the law enforcement agency.

“Twitter’s latest statement is devised to seek dubious sympathy when they themselves not only refuse to comply with the law of the land but also claim possession of material evidence but also refuse to share it with duly recognised legal authority,” the police officials said further.

Rapping the Silicon Valley Company for falsely acting as the judge, jury and executioner, the Delhi Police served a sizzling response.

“Twitter is purporting to be both an investigating as well as adjudicating judicial authority. It has no legal sanction to be either. The only legal entity, so empowered by the duly laid down law, to investigate is the Police and to adjudicate is the Courts”

The Delhi Police explained how Twitter made its bed with Congress which eventually led to the police to include Twitter in the investigative process – after all, the platform inadvertently claimed to have facts regarding the authenticity of the toolkit.

“Twitter declared that the toolkit was ‘Manipulated Media’, this clearly shows that it was acquainted with the facts of the case & had material information relevant to the probe. Hence, Twitter was asked to join the inquiry to provide the information it possesses,” added the police.

Reported by TFI, after being exposed for the devious Toolkit that was hatched to defame the Modi government and create an impediment in India’s war against the pandemic — Congress on Thursday wrote a letter to the micro-blogging site asking it to permanently suspend the accounts of BJP leaders including party chief JP Nadda and Union minister Smriti Irani and spokesman Sambit Patra for allegedly “spreading misinformation and unrest in the society”.

And like clockwork accuracy, Twitter, being a stooge of the left-liberal cabal, flagged the tweet of Sambit Patra as manipulated media.

Twitter with its ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude thinks that it can punch its way through the mess. However, the government has cornered it from all sides. Firstly with the Toolkit controversy and secondly, with the compliance to the new IT laws, which Twitter has been dodging for the last couple of days, after the deadline to accept the guidelines elapsed on May 26.
