For reasons best known to the BJP and its Uttarakhand chief minister, infamous Modi-baiter and vile journalist Dinesh Mansera was appointed as media advisor to CM Tirath Rawat. For Dinesh Mansera, a new and exclusive post of “Media Advisor to the Chief Minister” was created in Uttarakhand, which was to be valid till 28 February 2022. The appointment of Mansera as media advisor to chief minister Tirath Rawat shocked many of the BJP’s supporters and well-wishers on social media.
As soon as news of his appointment flooded social media, the right-wing was up in arms against the BJP for shocking it with its shenanigans far too many times in a rather short span of time. Now, the appointment of Dinesh Mansera as the media advisor to the Uttarakhand chief minister has been cancelled. In an order dated May 18, the government of Uttarakhand cancelled Mansera’s appointment. Dinesh Mansera then took to Facebook to say that he was appointed because of his experience and expertise in the field of journalism. He also added that his appointment as the media advisor did not go down well with many.

Of course, it did not. The BJP has been disappointing its core voter base at an unprecedented pace over the past few days, and the appointment of Dinesh Mansera really became the last straw for the party’s supporters and well-wishers. As per media reports and his LinkedIn profile, Dinesh Mansera is in charge of the Kumaon circle at NDTV. After his appointment as the media advisor to the Uttarakhand chief minister, reports said that the man was roped in to “act as a bridge between the government and the media by becoming the voice of the people.”

Dinesh Mansera removed by Uttarakhand government proves two things
– Social media outrage works
– PM Modi listens to his supporters since this action came after CM’s meeting with him.

The appointment had instantly brought eyeballs and netizens were quick to dig out Mansera’s illustrious past where he left no opportunity to target the current government and peddle his anti-Modi agenda. Had it not been for the massive outrage by the right-wing on social media, Mansera would have conveniently taken charge of the new post created especially for him. However, that the right-wing and BJP’s supporters need to lose their minds at the drop of a hat these days is quite telling of how the party has been taking steps to disappoint its core voter base.
The BJP must immediately take steps to address issues that have come to inflict it. It cannot afford to antagonise its own supporters at the rate it is doing currently. With important elections coming up, the party must immediately get its act straight. Meanwhile, the party’s supporters must not shy away from registering their protest and disagreements with it when need be. It is the only way to ensure that the right thing is done, always.
Good article outlining the need for the party’s support base to get the party on its feet and shake things up, when things start tilting left. This is the spirit !! Rather than wait for the party or the government to do everything, the party supporters should “make the right noises” (pun intended) and surely will be heard. After this recent Toolkit revelation, I will not be surprised if similarly, in the early days of Modi @ center, whether similar left-liberal toolkits were surreptitiously circulated, asking for “infiltrators” to join BJP/RSS and erode it’s principles from within, thus creating confusion and anger among true BJP supporters. As you made clear in this article, pressure from supporters and well wishers is very much the need of these weird and shady times.
