The reign of terror in West Bengal under the stewardship of Mamata Banerjee shows no sign of abating. After Mamata’s close confidantes were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection to the Narada scam, Mamata’s band of hooligans started pelting stones at the CBI office, attacked the journalists who dared to cover their acts of vandalism and to top it off, they even tried to break into the Raj Bhawan, which must have made their master – West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee extremely proud of them.
If one dares to become an impediment or thorn to Mamata Banerjee or Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, one is almost certain to face grave consequences as even the country’s premier agency – CBI or the Governor Jagdeep Dhankar is not safe in the state, let alone the common man. In fact, to be associated with the Bengal BJP is considered to be a sin by the TMC and hence brutal murders of BJP workers take place.
Now, after the CBI arrested Mamata’s inner coterie comprising of Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, Madan Mitra and Sovhan Chatterjee in connection with the Narada scam, Mamata staged an almighty drama in front of the CBI office which ultimately led to shocking acts of vandalism and hooliganism.
After the TMC goons gathered outside the CBI office chanting slogans and raising the party flag, they soon realised they need to fall back on their inherent characteristics and hence stone pelting on the CBI office and security forces ensued.

In the footages of the incident, it can be clearly seen that TMC goons were breaching security protocols, breaking barricades and unleashing mayhem.

The situation was also grim for the journalists who dared to cover the hooliganism of Mamata’s band of goons. TV9 journalist Anindya took to Twitter to claim that, “JUST IN: My colleague Saurav Guha reports, cars of different media houses are attacked outside Nizam Palace, which houses CBI office in Kolkata. UPDATE: Another colleague Sujit Pal, who has been reporting from outside Nizam Palace, since morning, has been roughed up by the unruly mob.”

Reportedly, Mamata’s goons also reached the Raj Bhawan to agitate outside the premises. The TMC hoodlums then proceeded to scale the gate forcing the Police to push back against the goons. They were also shouting slogans like ‘Governor go back’.

Governor Dhankar also took to Twitter to express concern over the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in West Bengal. “Concerned at alarming situation. Call upon Mamata Banerjee to follow constitutional norms & rule of law. West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, State Home Ministry must take all steps to maintain law & order. Sad- situation is being allowed to drift with no tangible action by authorities,” tweeted the West Bengal Governor.
