Liberals tried to turn Asif Khan’s murder into another Akhlaq, Haryana Police punctured their claims

Asif Khan, a 25-year-old man was killed by a mob in Haryana’s Muslim dominated Mewat district after he had ventured out to buy medicines with his two cousins who were also injured in the attack. While no communal angle has been established in the accident prima facie, the liberals and ultra-seculars of the country instantly took it up as an opportunity to drive a wedge between Muslims and Hindus and stir communal tension in the region.

Known Islamic hatemonger and Newslaundry reporter Sharjeel Usmani took to Twitter to post a reprehensible tweet where he asked “Justice for Asif” and claimed that Hindus chanting Jai Shree Ram were terrorists.

Similarly, Delhi Riots accused, Safoora Zargar took to Twitter to dub the killing of Asif as the work of Hindu militants. “Hindu militants continue terrorism in the midst of a raging pandemic. Apparently, a bloody Ganga is not sufficient for these bloodthirsty imbeciles.” she tweeted

Some liberal portals had claimed that Asif was killed because the mob asked him to chant Jai Shree Ram. However, the Haryana Police has rubbished all those claims and cleared that personal rivalry was the reason for the altercation.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media platforms, Asif’s brother — the eyewitness to the incident can be heard saying that the two groups had a little tiff. He also reveals that the attackers were from his village and were mostly known faces.

According to Police, two cases have been filed against Asif alias Saddu and five against Pradeep alias Patwari, the prime accused in the case. Initial investigation has revealed that Asif is a close aide of BSP leader from Sohna, Javed Ahmed. He is a relative of Congress MLA from Nuh, Chaudhary Aftab Ahmed. Pradeep is a close aide of local BJP leader, Bhalla, who is, in turn, a close aide of BJP’s Sohna MLA Kanwar Sanjay Singh.

As reported by NDTV, Nuh’s Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh said the groups have often indulged in tiff which was often resolved by senior members of the village. An SIT has been constituted to probe the case.

Only recently, the group Asif was associated with had attacked members of the other group. Consequently, the other group pulled off a revenge attack during which Asif lost his life. Thus, it is evident that the killing was done to settle political scores not because Asif was forced to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’ as the liberals are deceitfully claiming.
