The communally volatile town of Bhainsa in Telangana was once against being prepared to turn into a mass graveyard for Hindus. The primary motive of the repeated bouts of violence in Bhainsa by Islamists is to achieve a rapid depletion of the Hindu population in the town by forcing the community into exodus. It is therefore not surprising that violence engulfs the town multiple times in a year. In a shocking revelation, Bhainsa Police has now stated that at least three Muslims were caught trying to instigate communal violence by themselves writing ‘Jai Shree Ram’ on the walls of a mosque.
ASP Kiran Khare has said that CCTV footage of people writing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on the walls of the mosque has helped identify Mohammed Abdul Kaif, Mohammed Abdul Majid and a 14-year-old minor whose name has not been disclosed. Both the accused live in a nearby area of the mosque in question. The accused said the minor boy wrote ‘Jai Shree Ram’ after Abdul Kaif ordered him to do so. CCTV footage as well as handwriting, meanwhile, match the suspect. ASP Khare said the accused have confessed to the crime.

Islamists have therefore been caught red-handed trying to write ‘Jai Shree Ram’ on the walls of a mosque, in order to subsequently use the same as an excuse to indulge in mass violence against Hindus. However, since they have been exposed for their nefarious designs, it would be safe to assume that all previous bouts of violence against Hindus were also instigated by members of the Muslim community in Bhainsa.

Interestingly, the populations of Hindus and Muslims in the town of Bhainsa are 49 and 47 per cent respectively. Bhainsa serves as a case study of how conducive demographic conditions allow Islamists to engage in violence against Hindus without any fear. Earlier in March, communal riots flamed between the Hindu and Muslim community in Bhainsa in the Nirmal district of Telangana. Aided by the blind eye of CM K Chandrashekar Rao, the violent clashes resulted in the wounding of over 12 civilians and police officers, all whilst the mainstream media refused to give the incident any air time.
Bhainsa is a stronghold of All India Majilis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMM), led by Asaduddin Owaisi, a member of parliament from the Hyderabad seat. The party is ruling dispensation in the municipality for the last three terms and the next elections are to be held in the coming few weeks. A few days ago, a big rally was organised in the town against CAA, in which more than 2 lakh people, primarily Muslims, participated. As reported by TFI, one of the main perpetrators to be arrested is the sitting councillor of AIMIM has who has been booked for an attempt to murder and armed riot which explains how the Hindus were targeted.
Lately, it has become routine where the communal riots propelled by the ‘minority’ community are normalised and more often than not, the Hindus are ostracised and made the villains despite being the obvious victims as is visible in the case of the Bhainsa riots.
