Liberals need a lesson in history, PM Modi actually participated in Bangladesh liberation struggle and there is a ton of evidence to back this

The Liberals are rattled by Prime Minister Modi’s nostalgic moments in Bangladesh, where he remembered ‘Satyagraha” for the liberation of Bangladesh. “I must have been 20-22 years old when I and my colleagues did Satyagraha for Bangladesh’s freedom,” said Prime Minister Modi who is on a two-day visit to the neighbouring country.

The liberals are making fun of the Prime Minister’s memory, but what should be made fun of is actually their ignorance. There are a plethora of historical documents that certify that Jana Sangha, the predecessor of BJP for which Modi worked in his early days into politics, stood in full support of the then PM Indira Gandhi in the war against Pakistan.

Atal Bihar Vajpayee gave a fierce speech in the parliament and acknowledged the leadership of Mrs. Gandhi, and referred to her as Durga avatar (although it is disputed whether he called her Durga or not but speech praising her is acknowledged and recorded). Moreover, Jana Sangha held a rally in front of the parliament house and this was acknowledged by Bangladesh itself when the country gave Bangladesh Liberation Award to Vajpayee in 2015. “Jana Sangh held a Jana Satyagraha from August 1-11 and their volunteers organised a huge rally in front of Indian Parliament House on August 12, 1971,” noted the Bangladeshi government along with the award which was received by Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the former PM who was very ill in 2015.

The Liberals, being true to their character, trying to whitewash the historic evidence to peddle their propaganda.

Prime Minister Modi remembered the sacrifice of Indian armed forces and Bangladeshi people in his speech in Bangladesh. “I salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who stood with the brothers and sisters of Bangladesh in Muktijuddo. Those who gave their blood in Muktijuddo, sacrificed themselves, and played a very big role in realising the dream of independent Bangladesh,” said Prime Minister Modi who was wearing a ‘Mujib Jacket’ for the occasion.

Bangladesh has completed 50 years of the start of the war that broke Pakistan into two pieces and created a new country – which is an ally of India, unlike our western neighbor – and created the country. The Sheikh Hasina government has called the Indian Prime Minister for the celebration and the Indian government conferred the Gandhi Peace Prize to the leader of the freedom struggle of the Bengali people from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan – Sheikh Mujinur Rehman.

“This is one of the most memorable days of my life. I am grateful that Bangladesh has included me in this event. I am grateful that Bangladesh has invited India to take part in this function. It is a matter of our pride that we got the opportunity to honour Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with Gandhi Peace Prize,” said PM Modi.

The Congress party and liberal cabal are not happy with the fact that PM Modi is acknowledging the contribution of the then Indian government, Sheikh Mujib, as well as the Jana Sangh, because they want all credit to be given to the grand old party. And, therefore, trying to make fun of Prime Minister Modi’s nostalgic moments instead of acknowledging his minor contribution to the cause of Bangladesh.
