In a big embarrassment to Rahul Gandhi, who is trying to capitalise on the ongoing farmer’s protests, was shown black flags, and his convoy was stopped by the farmers in Jaipur. Moreover, the farmers tore the posters of Rahul, who was on his two-day visit to Rajasthan.
Exposing the hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party, a farmer said, “We are into the agitation against the farm laws from the past 3 months. But here you should call it a Congress rally. You are hoisting Kisan flags and fooling us? When we held a march on November 1 against the laws, it was your government which did not allow us to enter Jaipur. You are saying BJP government doesn’t allow to enter Delhi, then how is your government different?”
When asked why the farmers showed black flags to Rahul Gandhi, another farmer said, “Why wouldn’t we show black flags. Does he think we are fools? We are opposing Narendra Modi over the farm laws doesn’t mean we are your supporters.”
For the last few months, Rahul Gandhi is trying to build political momentum and relaunch himself on the back of the ongoing farmers’ protests.
Earlier Rahul Gandhi chose to speak after the Prime Minister’s speech in both the houses of Parliament. Rahul chose not to speak on Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address because usually, the Prime Minister speaks in the last so that she/he can reply to all the questions/concerns raised by the Members of Parliament.
So, had Rahul spoken on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address, Prime Minister Modi would have given a befitting reply, that would have exposed his lies and hypocrisies.
So Rahul Gandhi spoke on the General Discussion of the Union budget and, instead of raising questions on the budget, spoke on farm bills (this is also a violation of Lok Sabha debate guidelines which says that the matter on which discussion has already happened can not be raised latter). He tried to hide this violation and said, “I will speak only on farm bills in the discussion budget in protest.”
Even on the farm bills, he could not speak for more than ten minutes because he has little expertise on any topic as well as he lacks interest in politics and public policy.
Rahul Gandhi spoke after PM Modi to save himself from getting roasted, but Smriti Irani, the leader who defeated him from the family borough Amethi, did the honours.
Irani showed Rahul a mirror about his performance in the constituency and said, “I was surprised that this person spoke of farmers and levelled allegations on government. I was surprised because he never gets involved in the discussion of the system in the region from where he was an MP (from Amethi) even though he expresses concerns about the mandi system in that region.”
So, Rahul Gandhi’s lies and hypocrisy was exposed by Smiriti Irani in the Parliament.
The farmers of the country might have short-term issues with the Modi government but they are aware of the fact that the Congress party is responsible for their poverty. Its policies kept the farmers capitative of the bureaucrats and Sahukars, but today people are interested in taking farming as a profession. The recent demonstrations of farmers against Rahul Gandhi on his two-day visit to Rajasthan prove the same.
