Rahul Gandhi takes it upon himself to eradicate unemployment, is set to hire 5,00,000 social media warriors

The BJP’s well oiled IT Cell led by Amit Malviya has played a key role in the success of the party in the last seven years. Taking lessons from BJP’s playbook, Rahul Gandhi is now determined to solve the unemployment crisis in India. The Indian National Congress plans to hire 5,00,000 social media warriors as its “army of truth” to fight BJP’s “army of hatred.”

Congress scion Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to urge his followers to join the party’s social media cell as the INC kicked off a massive recruitment drive intending to recruit 5,00,000 social media warriors.

Rahul, in his video message, appealed, “As a young person, you can see what’s going on. Nothing is invisible. In your school, universities, colleges, you can see the oppression, you can see the attack on the ideology. Look outside Delhi, you can see what’s happened with the farmers. The backbone of this war on the nation is a troll army. Thousands of people who spread hatred, anger and are paid to do so.”

“We also need warriors to defend liberal values, to defend the ideas of compassion, peace, harmony and affection. Come, join this army. This is not an army of hatred, this is not an army of violence. This is an army of truth, this is an army that is going to defend the ideas of truth. We are building this platform for you to give you the tool to fight this battle and win,” added Rahul.

The INC, on its official Twitter handle, said, “On Safer Internet Day, join the Congress Social Media team and elevate your voice against hate speech, misinformation and propaganda. Speak up for a safe, secure & equitable digital India through our platform.”

Apart from Rahul, hashtag #JoinCongressSocialMedia was used by Congress leaders like Ashok Gehlot, Gaurav Pandhi, and Pawan Kumar Bansal to name a few, as they all urged their followers to join the INC in its campaign.

While one can join Rahul Gandhi’s social media team through as little as a missed call, it is unlikely that Congress will achieve its desired target without paying a hefty salary to its prospective social media warriors. The BJP has a strong ideology which connects with its core voter base and as a result, has seen loyal foot soldiers cropping up across the country who are just determined to work for the cause.

However, INC is a party with no direction and the only ideology it practices is serving the Gandhi family whose brand value is at an all-time low. In West Bengal, Congress allies with the Left, while in Kerala, the party is locked in a fierce battle with the Left. In Maharashtra, it has allied with Shiv Sena just to keep the BJP out of power in the state. Under the leadership and ideology of Rahul Gandhi, the INC will only get impressions and retweets and nothing else.
