Calling paid labourers is not bad as far as Kejriwal’s record is concerned. Not paying them is bad

When the Aam Aadmi Party arrived at the doorstep of Indian polity – it was promising to completely change the country’s political environment by practising politics of truth. However, the party has completely unravelled with the AAP stooping to a point where it is now not paying the labourers who were promised a small sum in return for attending Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s rally.

Ahead of the MCD by-polls, Kejriwal and AAP leaders carried out a roadshow in New Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh and Bawana areas. Allegedly, labourers from the area were promised a sum of Rs 500 in return for attending Kejriwal’s rally and it turns out, that the party has not paid the labourers despite the labourers diligently attending the rally.

In a video by Newsroom Post, it can be clearly seen that a section of people donning AAP caps was visibly upset over the non-payment of Rs 500 for attending CM Kejriwal’s rally. One person who attended the rally alleged that a certain Mr Chopra had brought them to the rally on the promise of Rs 500.

Earlier in January, Kejriwal’s AAP claimed, “Important: As promised, AAP helps following farmers send legal notice to those discrediting the farmers’ protest- Jeevan Jyot Kaur to Kangana Ranaut, Narinder Singh to Ramesh Bidhuri, Sukhwinder Sukhi to Manoj Tiwari, Gurinder Birring to Ravi Kishan, Chetan Singh to Raosaheb Danve.”

The party claimed that they are farmers and need legal assistance in the filing of cases and that is the reason it came forward to help them. However, later it was reported that all those farmers are AAP members. As per a report by The Indian Express, Narinder Singh Shergill, one of the farmers whom AAP helped to send a legal notice to Ramesh Bidhuri-BJP MP from Delhi- is an AAP member and has contested assembly elections from Mohali and the parliamentary polls from the Ropar constituency.

Similarly, Jeevan Jyot Kaur, who sent a legal notice to Kangana Ranaut, is associated with the Mahila wing of AAP. Gurinder Singh Birring, who sent a legal notice to BJP MP Ravi Kishan, has been associated with AAP and was part of its war room for the 2017 Assembly Polls. Moreover, Sukhwinder Paul Sukhi, who has sent a legal notice to BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, is also associated with AAP in the Mansa district of Punjab. The AAP, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, is now a far cry from its initial promise and is no better than any of the opposition parties.
