The entire existence of Pakistan and its terrorist breeding agencies like Inter-Services International (ISI) has been based on their ability to wreak havoc in India. In a concerning development, Indian intelligence agencies believe that ISI is now using slain terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s nephew Lakhbir Singh Rode to revive the Khalistani movement in Punjab.

Zee News reports that Indian intelligence agencies have gathered inputs which point towards a nefarious strategy hatched by the ISI to revive the Khalistani movement in Punjab with the help of slain terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s nephew Lakhbir Singh Rode.

For the uninitiated Khalistani terrorist Bhindranwale was eliminated by the security forces during Operation Blue Star in Punjab.

Ever since the opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, India had expressed concerns about the corridor being misused by the pro-Khalistani outfits in Pakistan to revive militancy in Punjab.

The intelligence agencies also believe that pro-Khalistan leader Gopal Singh Chawla, Bhindranwale’s kin Lakhbir Singh Rode and Gurjit Singh Cheema are one of the most “active” handlers of alleged Khalistani terrorists.

As a part of their nefarious strategy to revive militancy in Punjab, ISI is attempting to target pro-Hindu leaders across Punjab to revive militancy in the state. Earlier in October, an intelligence agency report indicated the same with the ISI approaching Punjab’s gangsters and criminals in the jails to attack pro-Hindu leaders.

Reportedly, the ISI is also supplying weapons through drones in Punjab in cahoots with the Khalistani terrorists. In October, the Border Security Force and Punjab Police had nabbed various gangs for their role in the smuggling of weapons through drones.

With the help of a Dubai-based gangster, Sukh Bikriwal who played a key role in Punjab’s infamous Nabha jailbreak incident, the ISI plotted an attack on Shiv Sena leader Honey Mahajan in Punjab. The shoot which ensued witnessed Mahajan and his neighbour sustain serious injuries with Mahajan managing to survive while his neighbour succumbed to the injuries.

Delhi Police Special Cell which arrested 5 Khalistani terrorists after an encounter in Shakarpur, saw the terrorists reveal to them that Bikriwal was responsible for the killing of Balwinder Sandhu at the behest of the ISI.

This revelation saw Indian agencies raid Bikriwal’s properties in Dubai and subsequently detained him.

The ISI has been albeit failingly, persistently trying to generate unrest in Punjab and is now planning to target pro-Hindu leaders to achieve its nefarious goals. However, the Indian government and agencies are well aware of the threat and along with the Union Home Ministry are looking forward to setting up a Joint Counter Operation Center and is also planning to deploy NSG Black Cat Commandos in Pathankot to foil Pakistan-sponsored terrorists.
