In an action once again displaying his insensitivity and disregard for Indian culture, Saif Ali Khan has decided to justify Raavan’s abduction of Sita in his next film. He will be playing the role of Raavan in the upcoming mythological epic ‘Adipurush’, which is reportedly based on the Indian epic ‘Ramayana’.
Scheduled to start shooting from January 2021, the film will paint the demon king Raavan as more ‘humane’. Excited about the upcoming project, Saif said that his character will be ‘justifying’ Raavan’s actions.
He said, “It’s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient; justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off his nose.”
The film is being directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Ram. Saif Ali Khan’s portrayal of a Raavan, which justifies the demon king’s doings, is not only historically inaccurate but is extremely hurtful to the sentiments of crores of Indians. People across the country worship Sita as a goddess, and to see her disgraceful abduction being justified is something which is unacceptable to the masses, and rightly so.
Without an iota of doubt, this will be the most ambitious distortion of history in Indian cinema, all under the garb of creative freedom and ‘entertainment quotient’. Understandably, netizens took to Twitter to come out against the film, expressing their anger and turned very vocal with their sentiments.
Bollywood continues with its Anti Hindu Agenda..

He humanised Taimur. Now wants to humanise Ravan. But when will Saif Ali Khan humanise himself?

BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje also spoke out against the movie and said, “Distorting country’s history, culture & portraying Hindus as evil has been the regular job of Bollywood & the Khans! Saif Ali Khan discloses movie maker’s devious attempts to portray Raavan humane & justifying abduction of Sita! Boycott these khans & their movies!”

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Goel questioned this portrayal of the demon king by stating, “How any sane person can justify the abduction of Maa Sita and to show Ravana as humane.” He further asked Minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar to take a look into the matter.

This isn’t the first time that Saif is in limelight for his ‘knowledge’ of Indian history. Saif, who is a self proclaimed history buff has perhaps skipped his lessons in history as he believes in alternate history which only exists in the fig-ments of his imagination. During the release of Tanhaji, Saif yet again dis-played his lack of knowledge as he questioned Tanhaji’s historical accuracy.
“For some reason I didn’t take a stand… maybe next time I would…..I was very excited to play the role because it’s a delicious role. But when people say this is history; I don’t think this is history. I am quite aware of what the history was,” he said in an interview.
After his decision to portray Raavan as ‘humane’ as possible, ‘justifying’ his abduction of Sita, the Nawab of House Pataudi has once again proved how ignorant he is when it comes to Indian culture and history.
At a time when Bollywood is already on thin ice with the audience due to the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput and its aftermath, filmmakers and actors would be well advised to not distort history for entertainment purposes or else they can kiss goodbye their hopes of reviving the once buzzing industry and winning people’s hearts.
He made such a statement only to make it controversial. In fact, every Ramayana preacher/analyzer says the same thing. “Unless Sita mata was abducted, Ravanaz punya wouldn’t have broken and couldn’t have established a reason enough to kill him”. Srushti karta Bramha himself felt happy when Ravan abducted Sita mata. We, out of affection feel sad for such an act but sages already knew it would happen and didn’t interfere in that paap. Letz hope the director will make the movie on the lines of Hindu sentiments.
Making Ravan humane is like glorifying only one of his 10 heads. Which is not even half knowledge, rather it is 1/10th knowledge about Ramayana or they must have an agenda to strengthen ant-hindu Ravan devotees.
Though Ravanaz birth was a Brahmin, he was called Ravan’asura’. An asura being portrayed as humane is yet another typical bollywood whitewashing detergent.
This movie will please Sinhala people.. It is true that Lakshman should not have cut Surpanaka’s nose… Not a gentleman behaviour…
