“Our PM doesn’t understand,” Rahul Gandhi makes an epic fool of himself by attacking PM Modi for his comment on wind turbines

Rahul Gandhi, the perennial coming-of-age leader of Congress has once again proven that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed. The ‘young’ scion of Congress on Friday shared a video on Twitter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with Henrik Andersen, president and CEO of Danish wind turbine maker Vestas.

“The real danger to India isn’t that our PM doesn’t understand. It’s the fact that nobody around him has the guts to tell him,” the former Congress president captioned the post while responding to the PM’s suggestion of conducting research on extracting water and oxygen from air using windmills used to generate power.

True to his nature, Rahul Gandhi, motivated by some excited yet dumb Congress IT cell intern, without doing a customary fact-check on what PM Modi actually said went ahead and took the jibe.

While Rahul tried his nonchalant best to come out as a genius but unfortunately he made a fool out of himself as one of the suggestions made by PM Modi is already proven, while the other is currently being studied by researchers.

The Prime Minister in the video is heard animatedly suggesting Andersen that if wind turbines could collect moisture from air, besides producing power, they could help solve the issue of drinking water shortage.

And looks like PM Modi is much well-read than Rahul Gandhi as almost eight-years ago, in 2012, a French company, Eole Water, claimed to have modified a wind turbine to extract water from humid air. The wind turbine design was called the WMS1000. At the time, Eole Water claimed that a prototype of the WMS1000 was being tested in a desert near Abu Dhabi and was able to produce 62 litres of water an hour.

In 2018, this concept was tested in Abu Dhabi wherein a wind turbine was used to condense water from the air and pump it into storage tanks for filtration and purification. Through the technological breakthrough, 1000 litres of clean water was produced in arid deserts of Abu Dhabi.

“The other suggestion that I have is that we can separate oxygen from the air using this same turbine… If a scientific system can be developed… If this can be done, one wind turbine can then provide drinking water, supply oxygen and provide energy… it can be three-in-one from one turbine,” PM Modi further said in his statement.

The same is the case with the idea of oxygen extraction through wind turbines, which is more complicated than water extraction. The idea is to harness wind energy to carry out the electrolysis of water to generate hydrogen and oxygen.

Researchers in the US and Europe have been conducting research on this for years. The purpose is to generate adequate hydrogen for renewable energy purposes. If successful, a “three-in-one” wind turbine system could solve the water and energy woes of a community in a sustainable manner with lesser impact on the environment.

While the Congress leader got clout amongst his blind followers, the CEO of the company that specializes in Wind Turbines was himself in awe of the inquisitiveness and ingenuity of the Prime Minister.

“I am smiling at your passion and excitement about harnessing the wind energy. You should come to Denmark. You will be an idea generator for researchers in India and Denmark. I can’t express how pleased I am with your ideas,” said an extremely pleased Andersen.

Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal instantly took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and showed him his place.

“They say ignorance is bliss, but rarely in Indian politics has an individual made a conscious effort to sustain his ignorance. It seems the real danger to the Congress flourishes unabashedly and no one seems to have the guts to tell the Yuvraj otherwise,” tweeted Union Minister Smriti Irani, further rubbing in on Rahul’s misery.

Rahul Gandhi is one of the wannabe politicians that has no connect with ground-politics, other than going out quickly to the ground in a true-blue WWE style (Read: Hathras case) nor does he have any scientific temper.

Here is the PM of a country making suggestions and asking the domain experts some scientific questions but all Rahul Gandhi could think of in his rendezvous was an opportunity to score some political points amongst his already-deluded base of followers.
