Turkey is welcoming anti-India elements, Islamist separatists and Pakistanis to join their media agencies

India needs to go all-out against Erdogan

Turkey, under the rabidly radical Islamist Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is working overtime to disseminate anti-India propaganda via the country’s media networks, apart from also cohesively putting various minions to work towards India’s detriment. Turkey, under Erdoğan, has taken a visibly tectonic shift away from its previous secular credentials, and is rapidly pacing towards becoming perhaps the most extremist society in the world. Had this extremism been limited to Turkey’s border, the world, particularly India, wouldn’t have batted an eye. However, growing extremism in Turkey is having negative effects for India, apart from its own neighbourhood as well.

What is now emerging is that Turkey, under a wannabe Caliph Erdoğan, is hatching and effecting a devious conspiracy against India, in order to spread fallacious propaganda against the world’s largest democracy globally, particularly on the issue of Kashmir, which according to Erdoğan, is a disputed territory under the siege of India.

A major role being played in line with this anti-India conspiracy is that of Turkish media, which, in order to serve its own demented motivations, is employing hordes of Pakistani journalists and media persons from Kashmir with a declared hatred towards the Indian state. As reported by Zee News, Turkey has employed a large number of Pakistani nationals with extremist inclinations in the Turkish media, especially in the two most prominent global news platforms.

“Anadolu Agency and TRT of Turkish media, previously, these two news agencies preferred Americans and British to hire as journalists. However, as Erdogan began to promote radicalism at domestic front and push political Islam internationally, the Turkish press went on a rapid spree of hiring Pakistani journalists, who believe in radical Islam and could be further used as soldiers to materialize Erdogan’s global aspirations through political Islam,” the publication quoted analysts as saying.

In fact, presently, out of 11 copy editors in Anadolu Agency, five posts have been occupied by radical Pakistani nationals. Similarly, the Diplomatic Editor of TRT — Mohsin, is also a Pakistani origin individual. The number of Pakistanis in Turkish media outlets, with extremist tendencies, is on a steady rise, as Erdoğan looks to employ the services of closet-jihadis in order to radicalise an unsuspecting Turkish population.

Further, Turkish media is also on the lookout for India-hating Kashmiris, who are willing to act as propaganda lilacs for Erdoğan as he weaponizes the Kashmir issue in order to project himself as the indisputable leader of the Muslim world. Turkish media is also seen brazenly giving a platform to Kashmiri separatists and their children, whose only purpose in life is to abuse India and lead a monetarily luxurious life thereof.

Previously, we at TFI had reported how Turkey was also luring Kashmiri students and young Indian Muslims with lucrative scholarships. In fact, India’s security establishment has identified a three-pronged approach which Turkey uses to target the country, including the usage of Turkish state media, educational institutes and NGOs to push its vile fundamentalist agenda in the country. “Turkey has been providing lucrative scholarships and running exchange programmes for Indian Kashmiri and Muslim students to study in Turkey through state-sponsored NGOs. Once the students land in Turkey, they are approached and taken over by the Pakistan proxies operating there,” a HT report had said.

Turkey has also emerged as a “hub of anti-India activities”, second only to Pakistan, according to those in the know of India’s security challenges. While it is known that Turkey has been funding Kashmiri separatists for quite some time now, in order for them to toe the Pakistani agenda and fan radical Islamist ideology in the valley, recently it was also revealed that Turkey had been funnelling crores of rupees into Kerala in order to indoctrinate the population in India’s southern, and unfortunately Communist-ruled state, while also helping in the recruitment of Kerala’s youth to various terror organisations.

For far too long, India has only ‘condemned’ Turkey’s flagrant trespasses. What is needed is a complete boycotting of the madman-run country, in order to put an end to Turkey’s many blatant anti-India activities. Turkey must be treated by the Indian establishment in a manner similar to how India looks at China and Pakistan. If there are three threats to India’s national security and sovereignty, they are Pakistan, China and Turkey, in the ascending order.
