It is safe to say that the atrocities committed by the Chinese Communist Party on the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province is one of the most brutal and horrific treatment meted out to a community since Adolf Hitler’s reign. From mass detention centres to forced organ harvesting to infiltrating the city with the ethnic Han Chinese population, the CCP has done it all. In a move which is aimed at breaking the spirit of the Uyghur Muslims, the CCP has now built a public toilet on the site of a razed Xinjiang village mosque.

The CCP’s obsession to eradicate the Uyghur Muslims from the map of China knows no bounds and this is what drives Xi Jinping and his lackeys to commit unspeakable atrocities on the community.

Ever since Xi Jinping has launched a crackdown on the Uyghur Muslims, the demolition of Mosques and other places of worships are central to Jinping’s plan to eradicate the community from China. Locals speaking to Radio Free Asia reported that the Tokul mosque was destroyed in 2018 with a lavatory had been built in its place by “Han [Chinese] comrades.”

“It’s a public toilet … they haven’t opened it yet, but it’s built. People have toilets at home, so there weren’t any problems like that,” said a Uyghur neighbourhood committee chief from Suntagh village in Atush. He claimed that the toilet is built to cover up the ruins of the mosque.

This is not an isolated incident as in 2019, Azna Mosque was torn down and according to locals was replaced with “a convenience store” that sells alcohol and cigarettes. This is done by the CCP as a deliberate insult as consumption of alcohol and cigarettes is prohibited in Islam. Another mosque has also been torn down in order to make way for a factory to produce underwear.

Xi Jinping and his lackeys have not even spared the cemeteries as since 2014, over 45 cemeteries have been destroyed with 30 razed since 2017. Most of the cemeteries have now been converted into parks and parking lots while some continue to remain empty plots.

A paranoid Xi Jinping and his lapdogs have destroyed anywhere between 10,000 and 15,000 mosques, shrines, and other religious sites in Xinjiang have been destroyed between 2016-19 according to a report published by the Washington-based Uyghur Human Rights Project.
