The effect of Sadak 2 Disaster – NepoKids like Varun and Pareeniti come out in support of Sushant

Sushant, Bollywood, CBI, Sadak-2

India stands united to demand a CBI enquiry into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The death of the late actor has raised maze of spiralled questions that remains unanswered even till today. What the Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra government are enthusiastically calling a ‘suicide’, in reality, has all the indicators of foul play to it. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has struck Bollywood tectonically. One is now either a talented, self-made star or is a mere nepotistic dropdown from film lineages of the Mumbai. Indians have decided to boycott the latter category of people, who are too entitled and elite in their minds to indulge respectfully with ‘outsiders’ to the industry.

Perhaps a direct indicator of the times which have come, and are about to come soon for Bollywood’s elite and self-serving cabal, Sadak-2— directed by Mahesh Bhatt, starring his daughter Alia Bhatt– is all set to have its trailer become the most disliked video on YouTube. The unprecedented backlash which the trailer of Sadak-2 is receiving is scaring the living daylights out of other products of nepotism in Bollywood, who are now voicing their support for a CBI investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput like a bunch of parrots.

Currently, the trailer has garnered close to 9 million dislikes on YouTube, and the numbers are increasing with every refresh. There is no stopping the unprecedented fury of Indian audiences and the fans of Sushant, who have vowed to teach the ‘insiders’ of Bollywood a lesson to remember.

The numbers have shocked the entire bollywood, many of whom are now trying to desperately evade all the outrage which they might potentially face for their films as well. Varun Dhawan, Sooraj Pancholi, Parineeti Chopra, among others have taken to their Instagram stories to demand justice and a CBI enquiry for Sushant Singh Rajput.

Varun Dhawan, son of David Dhawan who was launched by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions took to his Instagram story to post “cbiforSSR”, voicing his support for a CBI investigation into the death of the late actor.

Sooraj Pancholi, whose name too has surfaced in the case wrote in an Instagram story, “I really pray and hope that Sushant’s family get the closure they need. They really deserve a proper CBI investigation; it has been a long battle for them already! They need to know what actually happened, and the world needs to know too! #CBIforSSR” (sic)

Parineeti Chopra said, “All that is needed is the truth. #JuticeForSSR.” Hina Khan voiced her support for a CBI investigation too, saying that the late actor’s family deserves closure more than anyone else.

Kriti Sanon wrote that Sushant’s friends and family members deserve an immediate closure in the matter. She said, “I pray that the Truth comes out SOON… His family, his friends, fans and all loved ones deserve this closure… I hope and pray that the CBI takes over the case so it’s investigated without any political agendas, in the TRUE sense, to provide justice to the family!! Its high time his soul rests in peace! #CBIForSSR #SushantSinqhRalput.”(sic)

The only actors actively calling for justice for Sushant Singh Rajput until now were Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande. For others, it was too sensitive an issue to get their hands dirty with. With the demonstration of people’s ire on YouTube, however, some sense seems to have emerged among those who are otherwise indifferent to issues surrounding them.

Sadak 2 is not just facing ruthless backlash for Alia Bhat’s presence in it, but, even more for the fact that her father – Mahesh Bhatt has directed and produced the film. Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapoor have also been casted in the sequel to Sadak, which was first released in 1991, starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The sequel is slated for a digital release on Disney+Hotstar on 28th August.
