As the investigation into the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput gathers pace, the Bollywood cabal is on the tenterhooks as the skeletons keep tumbling out of the industry’s closet. After the CBI began exploring the angle of Dubai-Bollywood mafia, the drug mafia angle is now hogging the limelight as Sushant’s case takes yet another twist and threatens to completely expose Bollywood.
Zee Media reports that an industry insider has revealed to the media house that over 70 per cent of the Bollywood celebrities consume drugs. The source also revealed that while MD is the hotly favoured by Bollywood stars, weed is more popular amongst the TV fraternity. The informant stated that the celebrities ask their staff to deal with the peddlers.
“These costly drugs arrive in Mumbai through roads from Gujarat and Punjab besides direct supply from foreign lands. When the stock arrives in the city, it is distributed between the small peddlers in retail quantities. “People in the film world mostly buy drugs in large quantity,” said the source speaking to Zee media.
In an important development, last week, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested two persons and recovered 59 grams of marijuana from them. Times of India reports that an NCB official claimed that the supplier of the arrested persons has connections in Bollywood.
The Enforcement Directorate is expected to interrogate businessman Gaurav Arya today and probe his role in allegedly supplying drugs to Rhea Chakraborty. Arya is alleged to have connections with the biggest drug mafias and the ED by grilling him wants to get to the bottom of the connection between Rhea and drugs.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut in an interview made a sensational claim that almost 99% of Bollywood consumes narcotic drugs and till the time of writing, not a single person from the industry has contradicted Kangana’s claims.
In December 2017, Mumbai Police arrested Bakul Chanderia with 106 gm of cocaine and LSD dots worth Rs 4 lakh, collectively worth Rs12.48 lakh.
During his questioning, Chanderia revealed that he is “friends” with several big-time Bollywood actors.
The Bollywood is headed for a deep clean up as the skeletons keep tumbling out. Sushant’s death will bring about a huge change in the industry at the expense of the cabal.
