Delhi Police’s investigation into anti-CAA riots is exposing one urban-naxal after another

Delhi riots, Delhi

The skeletons of the Northeast Delhi riots are coming out in the open one after another and Urban Naxals masquerading as scholars and academicians are now being exposed. According to a report in Zee News, a fresh chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police against JNU scholar Sharjeel Imam has claimed that Imam “was desperate to take the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests to an all India level” and was making rigorous efforts to do the same. Imam was arrested under sedition charges for his alleged inflammatory speeches where he wanted to cut off Assam and rest of the northeast from India.

“The accused was very desperate to take the protests that level where the leaders of the protestors take the control of the mob in their own hand,” the chargesheet said while adding that Imam not only mobilized one of the communities but also set the stage for disruptive ‘Chakka Jam’ across Delhi and other parts of the country.

The charge sheet made startling discoveries that  Imam was in touch with one of the members of the Popular Front of India (PFI) who suggested him to protest as a member of PFI.

The chargesheet further alleges that Imam and his group had identified various mosques and assigned the task of distribution of pamphlets in these mosques to certain individuals to mobilize the Muslim mass in large numbers in the garb of protesting against the CAA.

Umar Khalid, Tahir Hussain, Professor Apoorvanand, Asiq Iqbal Tanha

The Delhi Riots which took place in February were always a premeditated and planned conspiracy by the anti-CAA lobby. Imam is not the first one to come under the scanner. The likes of Umar Khalid, Tahir Hussain, Professor Apoorvanand and Asiq Iqbal Tanha and their role in the riots have come out in various capacities.

Jamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha who was arrested in May for his role in the Delhi riots during interrogation to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police had recently confessed to instigating people to start riots over CAA in Delhi as he found the law as anti-Muslim. He also confessed to torching buses and laid bare his desire to turn India into an Islamic republic

Reported by TFI, Delhi Police has recorded a statement from one of the main accused in the Delhi riots, Gulfisha Fatima alias Gul where she states that Delhi University professor Apoorvanand was the mastermind behind the Delhi riots.

Gulfisha mentioned that Apoorvanand was at the forefront of the planning being hatched for the Delhi riots. She has confessed on record that Professor Apoorvanand also praised her after the riots for doing a good job.

She further mentioned that the DU professor had directed her and her coterie of rioters to gather the important supplies for the riots.

“The professor had sent us a message for the riots, following which we were asked to collect stones, empty bottles, acid, knives and the Khwateen members were asked to stuff dry red chillies,” Gulfisha had said.

Regarding Umar Khalid’s role in the Delhi riots, Gulfisha had iterated that Umar Khalid revered Apoorvanand as a father figure and that they all had clandestine meetings to plan the riots.

These revelations come at the heels of confession of former AamAadmi Party (AAP) councillor, Tahir Hussain who last month had cracked before the Delhi Police’ Special Investigative Team (SIT), and admitted that the Delhi riots were planned and executed by him and other members of his community.

Tahir Hussain also reportedly admitted to having masterminded the entire riots, to teach ‘Hindus a lesson’. Hussain told the police that he wanted to do so using his money and political power. It must be remembered that Tahir Hussain was suspended by the AAP only after his role in orchestrating the riots to specifically target Hindus was revealed.

The former AAP councillor also admitted that he had met Umar Khalid on January 8, 2020, at the PFI office in ShaheenBagh and as per police officials used support from Khalid Saifi, Umar Khalid, Ishrat Jahan and Popular Front of India (PFI) member Danish to fan the flames of anarchy.

There has been no iota of doubt that academic institutions like DU and JNU are festered with left-leaning academicians. From G N Saibaba to Hany Babu Musaliyarveettil Tharayil to now Apoorvanand, Sharjeel Imam and Umar Khalid the examples are aplenty. These closeted Urban Naxals in the guise of freedom of speech and expression nearly burnt the capital to the ground. The left lobby that vociferously supported these perpetrators is mum at the moment and the silence from the cabal is indeed deafening.
