Amit Shah might be in isolation due to Coronavirus, but, the fear of him taking the opposition to the cleaners, even from the confines of a hospital is giving his political opponents sleepless nights. Former NDA ally and now a coalition partner in the unholy ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’, Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ published an editorial piece and warned the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot that he shouldn’t be too happy that Amit Shah is out of the picture momentarily.

“Gehlot has no reason to be happy that Amit Shah is in isolation as the BJP leader performs political surgeries from wherever he is,” the Marathi daily claimed.

Rajasthan’s political conundrum had turned ugly when the Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot went rogue and quit all party-positions along with his 18 loyal MLAs. News reports had floated around the time that Sachin Pilot was keen to join BJP. But, the rumours haven’t lead to any fruition up until now as Pilot is keeping the cards close to his chest.

Nevertheless, the rumours were enough for Ashok Gehlot to take some desperate measures to save his government. Gehlot had huddled all his MLAs and continuously chauffeured them in buses from one resort to another before settling for the luxurious Hotel Fairmont in Jaipur.

Since then, Ashok Gehlot has been operating his cabinet from the hotel as he is not willing to take any chances to lose his beloved CMs throne. Gehlot had even told his coterie of MLAs that they would have to stay at the hotel till August 14, the day when the Assembly will convene its session after getting the nod from Governor Kalraj Mishra.

BJP’s old ally Shiv Sena even wished that nothing will happen to Home Minister due to the blessings of Shri Ram. The Shiv Sena uncharacteristically to its nature evoked Shri Ram multiple times in the article and said Coronavirus will fade away with the blessings of Shri Ram.

“Coronavirus is prevailing. It has spread in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and the entire country. This crisis, too, will fade away with the blessings of Lord Ram,” the editorial stated

In the same article, Shiv Sena lauded PM Modi and called the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony a golden moment. “The country has become excited in view of the ‘Bhoomi pujan’ ceremony. There is no other golden moment like the Country’s Prime Minister breaking the ground (for temple construction),” the Sena said.

Through a tweet, Amit Shah had confirmed last week that he had tested positive for Coronavirus and as a precautionary measure had gone into isolation.

He had even missed the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan ceremony but kept constantly updating his twitter feed to wish the countrymen on the momentous occasion.

According to official sources, Shah is asymptomatic and is clearing the home ministry files from his Gurugram hospital bed as well as monitoring the internal security through a dedicated team of officers. He is expected to return home next week provided that he tests negative for Covid-19.

The ‘dynamic’ duo of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah has orchestrated several election victories and milestones together. The tactical acumen of Amit Shah is unparalleled and it is due to his strategies that BJP has staged some spectacular comebacks in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and several other states. Consequently, Shiv Sena and other parties are on toes that a similar episode could unfurl in Rajasthan if Ashok Gehlot takes things lightly.
