Kangana Ranaut’s explosive interview to Republic Media Network Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami has sent ripples across what we call the Bollywood industry, but what in reality, according to Ranaut, is comprised of “emotional vultures”. The interview has received immense traction around the country, and people are rising in support of the Manikarnika actor for speaking her mind and exposing the criminal mindset of a few high and might people in Mumbai’s film industry. During the interview, Kangana revealed that she had been summoned by Mumbai Police, which claims to be conducting a fair investigation into the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput.

It is important to mention her that while the likes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar Kapur and Kangana Ranaut have been summoned by Mumbai Police for questioning, the coterie of individuals who actually run the industry have been given a miss. In order to protect Kangana Ranaut’s rights, Dr. Subramaniam Swamy and Ishkaran Singh Bhandari will now be representing the fearless actor. Earlier, Dr. Swamy had offered “legal protection” to Ranaut. Thereafter, Ranaut’s office is said to have contacted Ishkaran Singh Bhandari.

In a tweet, Swamy said, “Kangana Ranaut’s office has contacted Ishkaran. Ishkaran and I will meet soon to discuss how to assist her with her legal rights if and when the meeting with the Mumbai Police takes place. I am told she is among top three in Hindi cinema stardom. But on guts she gets top marks.” Quoting Swamy’s tweet, Ishkaran Bhandari added, “Absolutely the courage displayed by Kangana is exemplary and it’s absolutely essential to safeguard her interests from the Bollywood ecosystem!”

Dr. Swamy also added, while speaking to Republic TV, that while many people were being summoned by the Mumbai Police to question them on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, he was surprised that Kangana Ranaut was called in for the same. “Now, the person is always entitled to a lawyer, so I made sure that she does not feel alone in the police station given the fact the ‘3 Khan Musketeers’ are on the rampage and are making all kinds of attempts to overpower people,” he added.

Kangana Ranaut had told Arnab Goswami in her interview to Republic that for some strange reason, Mumbai Police was not summoning the likes of Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt and Rajeev Masand, who according to her, played a crucial role in destroying Sushant’s career. Kangana had said, “To date, Mahesh Bhatt is selling Parveen Babi’s illness in so many versions through his films. Why is Mumbai Police not summoning — Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand? These 4 people. Why, because they are powerful?”

Succumbing perhaps to public pressure and ire which has been whipped by Ranaut’s interview, alleged film critic Rajeev Masand has now been called in for questioning by Mumbai Police. Earlier, Kangana had said that Masand is among the four biggies who she feels must be summoned for questioning by Mumbai Police.

It is being alleged that a few individuals from the industry, in whose hands all authority of star city rests, had set out on a mission to obliterate Sushant Singh Rajput’s career, which finally led to the man committing suicide. There have been demands from multiple quarters to initiate a CBI enquiry into the case, since many fear that the Mumbai Police, evidently, is incapable of carrying out a fair investigation, especially when it involves big names from the industry and a coterie of self-serving nepotists.
