‘No ration for Hindus,’ AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan creates a mini-Pakistan in his constituency

Aam Aadmi Party Hall-of-Famer Amanatullah Khan has again wrecked the cauldron of controversy and this time he has stooped to a new low by allegedly turning away the poor and needy from availing food-ration, citing their religion and that they did not vote for him.

A video is doing the rounds on social media where residents of Sarita Vihar can be seen lamenting the fact that they were turned away by the ration distributors because they did not vote for the AAP MLA—Amanatullah Khan.

Hlndus denied free ration in AAP MLA #AmanatullahKhan’s constituency as they did not vote for him

Is this India or Pakistan where we saw the same discrimination against Hlndus

Why this Hinduphobia under Kejruddin ruled in Delhi?#KejriwalFailedDelhihttps://t.co/epGCvtJTtS

In the wake of the Wuhan virus pandemic, the Delhi Government has been promising and blowing its own horn that the poor of the state will be given ration free of cost and without any discrimination. But the video has brought to light the hollow words of Mr. Kejriwal and his minion Amanatullah Khan’s animosity towards the Hindus at large.

A woman while narrating her plight said that the ration distribution workers even threatened that they will call the female-police. She further said “All the ration is being given directed towards the Shaheen Bagh area”

@PMOIndia @narendramodi @KhanAmanatullah@ArvindKejriwal@sudhirchaudhary @ZeeNews @ArnabGoswamiRTv pic.twitter.com/jfoWlSnVfv

In a subsequent video, the woman alleges that some are even distributing money along with ration for the poor but they are denied because of their religion.

Denying ration because someone belongs to a different religion is reminiscent of the treatment of Hindu and Christian minorities in the Islamic country of Pakistan.

News reports had emerged from Pakistan in March where Hindus of Rehri Ghoth area of Karachi area were turned away by both NGOs and local administration as they happened to be Hindus.

This is not Amanatuallah’s first brush with controversy as he is hell-bent on creating fissures along religious-lines in Okhla where non-Muslims are a minority.

Since 1993, the Muslim-majority Okhla constituency has never been won by a non-Muslim candidate and the trend continued in the 2020 Assembly elections where Amanatullah won by a record margin of over 91,000 votes.

His electoral campaign was fuelled by hate-speeches and hatred for a particular community at large.

One of the main orchestrators of the Shaheen bagh protests and all the subsequent rioting that ensued in Delhi, Khan has been treading on thin ice for quite some time but the backing of CM Kejriwal has only propelled him to escalate his misdeeds.

Amanatullah Khan had openly instigated the Muslim mobs—so much so that the Delhi police had to register an FIR against him relating to arson, rioting, damage to government property, and obstructing the government work.

Even after his primal role in the North-east Delhi riots, Wikipedia omitted Khan’s involvement from its page and placed the blame of the riots squarely on Kapil Mishra. The left-leaning moderator of the page even refused to entertain any mention of the role of Khan in the riots.

Khan has on several occasions proved that he is a threat to the delicate social fabric of the country. Even in the wake of a global pandemic, he is resorting to his dirty game of cheap-politics. Shooing away the poor on the basis of religion is something a deranged and highly polarised personality like Khan is only capable of doing.

AAP should immediately take cognizance of the situation and sack Khan if it has any spine whilst providing ration to the families of the Jhuggis at the earliest.
