Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has been quite hard-pressed, and enthusiastic as well, for providing a whopping 1000 buses to facilitate the transport of migrant workers to their native places in Uttar Pradesh. At a time when the nation faces an unprecedented crisis, Priyanka Vadra seized the opportunity to portray herself, and her party, as the messiah of those facing the brunt of a nationwide lockdown. However, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been quick to call out her bluff. Now, Priyanka has been embarrassingly checkmated.
“Respected Chief Minister, I am requesting you, this is not the time for politics. Our buses are standing at the border. Thousands of labourers and migrants are walking towards their homes without food or water and after fighting all troubles. Let us help them. Give permission to our buses,” said Priyanka Vadra. In fact, such repeated requests are being made by her for the past three days relentlessly. Priyanka tried to score some brownie points as she claimed to have 1000 buses waiting for CM Yogi’s permission to run.
pic.twitter.com/K2ldjDaSRd

Yesterday, the Yogi government accepted the Congress party’s offer to run busses across UP to ferry migrant workers to their destinations. This acceptance, however, came with certain riders. Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Awanish Awasthi communicated to Priyanka Vadra’s personal secretary that her proposal had been accepted by the government.
In the letter of acceptance, much to the dismay of the Congress party, the Yogi government sought immediate details of the 1000 buses which Priyanka Gandhi Vadra claimed to have at her disposal, and has also asked for the names of each bus driver and conductor. The UP government called for the details to be submitted by 10 AM today.

Calling out the Priyanka Vadra’s bluff, CMO handle of Yogi Adityanath posed four questions to the party indulging in political opportunism at a time of a crisis.
— Yogi Adityanath Office (@myogioffice) May 18, 2020
It is being said that the Priyanka Vadra’s Congress has arranged buses from Rajasthan’s State Transport Department, even as migrant workers of Maharashtra and Rajasthan continue to arrive in UP, Bihar and Bengal loaded like sheep in trucks.

Priyanka Gandhi was also asked if she would own up the death of migrants in Auraiyya accident where one fateful truck was coming from Rajasthan and the other from Punjab carrying the migrants.
— Yogi Adityanath Office (@myogioffice) May 18, 2020
In the third poser, the Yogi government informed that the details asked for by them were not provided by the Congress as yet. If at all the Congress has 1000 buses at its disposal, why has it failed to provide the details of the same to the government?
— Yogi Adityanath Office (@myogioffice) May 18, 2020
In the fourth poser, Priyanka Vadra was also asked as to why the Congress-ruled states did not make arrangements to send the migrants by train to UP, the way UP has made arrangements to bring them by trains.
Basically, CM Yogi Adityanath has effortlessly exposed the Congress for the shallow party that it is. At a time of a crisis, all that the Congress and its dynastic General Secretary can think of is shameless political opportunism.
In what has now come as an embarrassment of epic proportions for the Congress party, the partial list of ‘buses’ handed over to the government contains blacklisted vehicles and buses which are off the roads for a multiplicity of reasons. The list also includes autorikshaw’s and personal vehicles. From the partial list sent to the government by the Congress, Twitterati found the details of certain vehicles from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways website, which exposed the abject lies of Priyanka Gandhi as some of these vehicles have turned out to be Auto-rickshaws and scooters!

12 and 13th number is of Auto and not bus. Priyanka Gandhi has done s major transport scam by charging Bus rental but delivering Auto to the State Government pic.twitter.com/9PK1XEECEg

Now by saying that Yogi government’s decision to ask for details is ‘influenced by politics’, the Congress party has been crying foul as the 1000 buses it was talking about was a mere gimmick for politics. It must be remembered that Priyanka Vadra has been trying to gain ground and momentum in Uttar Pradesh, possibly with a sight on the Chief Minster’s chair. It is perhaps for this very reason that the Congress is trying to create much hype around the 1000 buses, and is also strangely trying to make Priyanka increasingly resemble her grandmother – Indira Gandhi. Needless to say, CM Yogi has put the over-enthusiastic Priyanka Gandhi and the Congress party in a spot.
