The anti-CAA agitation soon unravelled to become an Islamist agitation as the likes of Shehla Rashid and the ilk soon revealed their true colours. The role of radical Islamist organisation Popular Front of India (PFI) in the protests has been successfully established by the Intelligence Agencies. More concerning is the fact that the protests has also links with Pakistan. Amidst all this, Shaheen Bagh emerged as the ‘Mecca-Madina’ of the protests with propagandists like Barkha Dutt and Swara Bhasker making heroes out of the radical assembled at Shaheen Bagh. In a sensational revelation that finally lands bare the true nature of the protests at Shaheen Bagh, police has detained a Kashmiri couple who have links with IS Khorasan from Okhla with the couple instigating the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act agitation in Shaheen Bagh.
In an important development, the Delhi Police special cell has detained a Kashmiri couple from Okhla for alleged links with ISIS Khorasan module. The Islamic State of Iraq and Levant – Khorasan Province is a branch of the Islamist terror group ISIS and is active in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The detained couple have been identified as Jahanjeb Sami (husband) and Hinda Bashir Beg (wife). However, the special cell have not arrested the couple and are currently questioning the couple. They have also seized some objectionable material from them.
According to reports, sources have said that the couple was planning a suicide attack in the national capital and inciting young Muslim men to conduct terror strikes.
Okhla also happens to be the constituency of rabid Islamist AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan who played a key role in the Delhi riots. Such is his devotion to Islam that despite the evidence pointing to fellow colleague and AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain in the gruesome murder of IB officer Ankit Sharma, Khan continues to maintain that Hussain is just being targeted because he’s a Muslim.
Earlier this year, Chennai Police Commissioner had said that his officers were probing the alleged Pakistan links of a woman activist booked for anti-CAA kolam protests after one of her social media accounts mentioned her as being part of an organisation based in that country.
Commissioner AK Viswanathan told reporters, the Facebook profile of Gayatri Kandhadai, one of those booked for protesting by drawing kolams, says she is a researcher for Bytes For All (B4A), Pakistan, part of The Association of All Pakistan Citizen Journalists (AAPCJ) based in Pakistan. The website of Bytes for All (B4A), Pakistan says it is a human rights organisation and a research think tank with a focus on information and communication technologies. It organises discussions on relevant topics, presents findings and mobilises opinion.
The Intelligence Agencies have successfully established the role of PFI and SIMI in the protests. Recently, the UP Administration arrested 25 people linked to the PFI for their role in the violent protests. The PFI has played a major role in instigating violence across the country especially in UP and Assam under the garb of anti-CAA protests.
The outfit has also been very active in promoting Jihad and classes on Jihad are conducted by some of its members. In these classes, the PFI even preaches that killing right-wing activists who oppose Islam would provide them ‘religious rewards in the afterlife’.
The Delhi Police must get to the bottom of this as there is no doubt that there are more skeletons in the closet and the emerging of the links with ISIS, threatens India’s sovereignty.
