Sudhir Chaudhary’s ground reporting vs Rajdeep and Ravish’s agenda-driven rubbish will open your eyes

Sudhir Chaudhary, Rajdeep Sardesai, Ravish Kumar

Ever since rioting took grip of Northeast Delhi, Lutyens’ media has been on a spree publishing fake news and spreading rumours about the violence.

On the ground level, these left-liberal journalists have been constantly trying to find matter with which they can push their agenda, viz. the narrative of pinning the entire blame on BJP leader, Kapil Mishra and portraying the riots as an anti-Muslim pogrom by Hindu mobs chanting Jai Shri Ram.

However, bringing sanity to ground level reporting, Sudhir Chaudhary went into the riot-hit areas to bring out the real picture for a change.

Tweeting about his sensitive behaviour during the riots coverage, Chaudhary said, “During my ground reporting on #DelhiRiots I did not ask any interviewee’s name to suggest their caste and religion. For us, everyone was a victim with equal rights and equal pain. Why do you want to know the name of a riot victim? Simply to play politics & send an adulterated dispatch?”

Unlike the left-liberal journalists who made it a point to deliberately look for Muslim victims, blatantly ignoring the grieving family of slain Intelligence Bureau (IB) staffer, Ankit Sharma.

Chaudhary however visited Sharma’s mother. However, he did not try to leverage this as an opportunity to push any particular narrative or worse gain TRP ratings. He also tweeted about how he couldn’t muster the courage to say anything on meeting the deceased IB staffer’s bereaved mother.

Ankit Sharma’s family and locals have been blaming AAP Corporator, Tahir Hussain for Sharma’s death. Virtually all media outlets have however blanked out their testimonies. Many have even attempted to replace the truth with the imaginary version Hindu mobs chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ killing the IB official. But for a change, Sudhir Chaudhary has brought the actual version of Ankit’s brother on record.

Chaudhary’s journalism and ground coverage has been far more genuine compared to the shoddy reporting and shameful twisting of Rajdeep Sardesai and Ravish Kumar.

A Zee News team also went to Tahir Hussain’s house, which has been identified as the location from which petrol bombs and stones were being pelted at the Hindu locals and also the location of Ankit Sharma’s brutal murder. The location- hotspot of riots in the region has been avoided by other media outlets for obvious reasons.

In fact, Ravish Kumar turned into a fake-news peddler. He tried to pass off Shahrukh- the man who fired eight rounds of bullets at the Delhi Police as a Brahmin Hindu, Anurag Mishra.

Fortunately, Ravish Kumar’s farce did not last for very long. He was fact-checked soon after his unconscionable fake news and rumouring, drawing fire over the shocking twist he gave to the entire matter.

Not just Ravish Kumar, Rajdeep Sardesai’s coverage has been equally insensitive. Dismissing the outrage over Ankit Sharma’s gruesome murder and downplayed the entire issue.

He tweeted, “35 people have died in riots till now; but for RW Internet army, only Ankit Sharma matters because needle of suspicion is on AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain. The day we seek justice for each and every innocent victim of riots, Hindu or Muslim, we will build a ‘new’ better India!”

This is a rather insensitive remark on the part of journalist who has spent the bulk of his career blaming a particular man over the ordeal of individual victims.

Sardesai has attacked those who feel aghast as Ankit Sharma’s brutal murder. However, he himself was found asking people if Kapil Sharma was responsible for tensions in the riot-hit region.

While Sardesai’s misapprehensions were dismissed by locals, he seemed insistent on somehow inculcating the BJP leader. Sardesai who himself was trying to pursue the agenda of implicating Mishra is strangely attacking those feeling outraged at Sharma’s murder.

Another user posted this tweet which exposes Sardesai deleting a tweet, wherein he was grossly abused by an Islamist for using the term ‘radical Islam’.

Delhi riots have therefore brought to the surface the difference in Sardesai and Ravish Kumar’s agenda-ridden coverage sans all morality and journalistic ethics. Sudhir Chaudhary, whom the liberal brigade loves to hate has however been far more genuine, unbiased and sensitive in reporting the riots.
