The Border Security force (BSF) has announced that a substantial number of Bangladeshi infiltrators have returned to their country since the CAA was passed in the parliament.

According to a Times of India report, BSF IG, South Bengal frontier, YB Khurania said, “There has been substantial increase in outflow of illegal Bangladeshi migrants to the bordering country in last one month. In January alone, we had apprehended 268 illegal Bangladeshi migrants, most of whom were trying to sneak into the neighbouring country.”

Notably, the same thing was also indicated by the BSF’s counterpart in Bangladesh, BGB chief had said this month that a total of 445 Bangladeshi nationals returned from India in the last two months following the publication of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) by the Indian government.

According to state intelligence sources, for the past few weeks, around 200 people have been infiltrating Bangladesh every day through North 24 Parganas alone. People are crossing over in large numbers through the porous border in South 24 Parganas, and through Nadia, according to sources. North 24 Parganas consist around 26 per cent of the Muslim population according to the 2011 Census, however this number has substantially risen exhibiting the Bangladeshi influx.

Notably, CM Mamata Banerjee has been up in arms against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). She had announced, “We will never allow NRC exercise and Citizenship Act in Bengal. We will not implement the amended Act, even though it has been passed in Parliament. The BJP can’t just bulldoze the states to implement it.”

Mamata Banerjee had said, “We will not allow anyone to deport any person from the country. There will be no NRC and no division. There can’t be a divide and rule policy; nothing is bigger than the country. People can have big political slogans but the country should not suffer due to it. It’s a divisive bill and shall be opposed at any cost.” She had added, “There is no need to worry about NRC and CAB. We will never ever allow it in Bengal. They can’t just throw out a legal citizen of this country or turn him/her a refugee.”

Mamata has even stayed the process of NPR in her state. Mamata has been appeasing the Muslims as well as infiltrators in order to ensure her electoral triumph, at the same time, her regime-backed goons are terrorizing the Hindu population.

West Bengal, due to its geographical location, has been a target of Bangaldeshi infiltrators, it received maximum number of them due to its riverine and porous borders with Bangladesh of around 2216 kms. After watching the no-nonsense attitude of the Modi government towards infiltration especially Home Minister Amit Shah’s stance, the infiltrators and their supporters are terrified and hence leaving the nation for good.
