Not realizing the grave danger of Islamic radicalism, Britain has paid the price yet again in a similar way. The London Bridge terror attack speaks volume about Britain’s refusal to recognize rising Islamic radicalism and Wahhabism.
This time, the terrorist, Usman Khan, involved in the London Bridge terror attack, had been released from jail after being convicted of terror offences, including plotting to attack the London Stock Exchange in 2010.
Khan was part of a gang of nine extremists from Stoke-on-Trent, Cardiff and London who were sentenced in February 2012 at Woolwich crown court. He had planned to establish a “terrorist military training facility” on land owned by his family in Pakistan. He used to preach extremism on the internet while funding terror camps in Pak & recruiting men for it. Khan was originally classed as never to be released unless deemed no longer a threat but this condition was later lifted and was freed in licence in December 2018.
It has to be recognized by Britain and all other European nations which still believe in the absurdity of secularism and pronounce terrorism has no religion, that Islamic jihadist ideology and the Wahhabism philosophy leaves no room for undoing the affects of the indoctrination.
Jail sentences, rehabilitation, other processes of integration of these terror mindsets in society are not possible, Islamic ideology has no space in it to be broad philosophically. It is a rigid theology which hates all the other religions with equal disgust. It is important that all the nations especially the Europeans attack the jihadi ideology otherwise people will keep dying in acts such as this.
A sharp rise in the number of illegal immigrants and religious fundamentalism is being witnessed in the UK and it has reflected on the institutions, policies and politics of the country. The rise of regressive Islamist forces in Britain over the past few decades is surely a critical issue and needs immediate attention. As the legislative and political developments on both the internal and external front in the UK clearly reek of the state’s efforts to please these radical forces that perpetuate institutionalized hate against non-Muslims in the UK and around the world.
It is miserable that Britain is still trying to achieve political correctness by talking about multiculturalism and by covering radical Islamic ideology under its robe. Wahhabism is becoming quite famous and attractive among the British Muslims from the refugees as they are searching for an identity rejecting the factional ethnic Indian sub continental politics of their parents. British people must make it clear that condemning “Islamism”; the theocratic ideology of supremacy that is at the root of these acts of terror is not the same as condemning Islam and/or Muslims. It must also be said that it is no longer enough for Muslims to just say that they “condemn” the terror, they have to go beyond that. The time for platitudes is over.
We all must also understand that there is no place in this theology for ‘moderate Islam’, there is no such thing. Terror apologists in all parts of the world use it as a veil to cover the acts of extremists. True secularism must go beyond condemnation and call out the theocratic vision/ideology that drives these terrorists.
Liberals and the pseudo-seculars are the only creature in the world having faith in the philosophy of Islam and believe that it does not allow terrorism. Liberals of the country have been glorifying the utopian tenets of moderate Islam since a long time but now the people should be made aware of the danger this ideology promotes in society.
The liberals continue to obfuscate and drag their feet without openly condemning the foundational ideology that spawns these acts of terror. The cycle of terror, deaths, candle-light vigils, condemnation, and terror shall continue until society takes shift action in this regard.
However, the rise of fundamentalist Islam and its supporters among those who act as an apologist for Islamists is not a recent phenomenon but its roots can be traced to a long time back. The United Kingdom had more than 200 times the numbers of mosques in 2011 than compared to 1961 when the whole of the United Kingdom just had 7 mosques. The number of Islamic religious schools or Madrasas has also skyrocketed, despite several allegations of bigoted approach towards disseminating education in these madrasas. Recently, a video had also surfaced from an Islamic School in Birmingham, where it is clearly seen that young children around the age of 10 or 11 were being indoctrinated to hate and mock other religions.
Britain has to act swiftly and decisively in order to maintain its values and culture as the Islamic theology has no mercy, it will conquer Britain and make it a breeding ground for converting the whole Europe into an Islamic zone. They even have started establishing sharia courts, madrasas, mosques and also have started the ‘sharia vigil’, in which they roam around lecturing English women on modesty and taunting them to wear proper clothes.
Notably, the Muslim population of the UK is set to triple in 30 years, according to projections from the Pew Research Centre. Under the model which assumes median migration levels, the number of Muslims in the country would rise from 4.1m in 2016 to 13m in 2050. The US-based think tank has said that the UK has been the major destination for economic migrants coming to Europe, while Germany has been the top destination for refugees. It said the research followed a “record influx of asylum seekers fleeing conflicts in Syria and other predominantly Muslim countries”
