Two days on the trot, Imran Khan has been left humiliated and red-faced in the United Nations General Assembly Summit. This time around, in a particularly rigged press conference, where he only fielded questions from his Pakistani media channels and peddled his old-boring Kashmir rhetoric.
Imran was in for a surprise when he had to leave the field running when a Zee News reporter, Aditi Singh tried to ask questions to the scared Pakistani PM who listened to her yet went back meekly avoiding the tough questions that were in store for him.

The entire 45-minute long press conference seemed staged where only Pakistani reporters asked the questions and Pak PM only targeted India and Kashmir.
The Indian journalist repeatedly tried to ask a question to the ex-cricketer turned politician, but the latter seemed unwilling to pay heed to her. The journalist kept asking “Take questions from the Indian Media” but Khan being the scared chicken he is, did not want to be put in the spot. Hence, he preferred to ignore the journalist and walked away from the stage.
Maleeha Lodi, Pakistan’s Ambassador at the UN in New York and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs who both were amongst Khan’s envoy looked bewildered and conveniently ignored the Indian media.
The entire US trip has been nothing but a horror trip for the Pakistani PM who is trying his level best to sensationalise the Kashmir issue on an international forum but unfortunately for him, he has found no takers.
On Monday too, US President Donald Trump during a joint press conference with the Pakistani PM on the sidelines of United Nations summit had mocked a Pak journalist who was singing his Pak and Kashmir propaganda incessantly by asking Trump about India’s move to abrogate Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
After the ill-mannered reporter continued with his rant, Trump took a chuckle and said “Are you a member of his (Imran’s) team? You are making a statement, not asking a question.” And this was not all. After mocking the journalist, Trump directed a question to the Pakistan Prime Minister, asking, “Where do you get reporters like these?”
What can be an even bigger insult to a head of a country, even if it’s the head of a country as diabolical as Pakistan, that during the presser Donald Trump lauded PM Narendra Modi’s aggressive statement against terrorism at Sunday’s ‘Howdy, Modi!’ event in the presence of Pakistan PM Imran Khan.
Trump said that PM Modi’s statement was very well received in the room of 59,000 people. Khan must have been hoping if the earth were to crack wide open, he would have buried himself in it.
Mr Khan has to understand that trade and strong-economy earn you friends whereas terrorism and duplicity earn you absolutely nothing. Resorting to such childish antics is only bound to hurt his cause. The staged press conferences and throwing the Kashmir word in every other meeting is not going to make his case any stronger. Khan has to start acting like a statesman, otherwise, the humiliation that he has received in the US will only compound in the coming times which seem very troubling for the ISI-backed-puppet PM.
