Sanjay Leela Bhansali set to present PM Modi’s life on the big screen, produces his biopic

Can't get enough of Brand Modi

‘Brand Modi’ gets a major boost with Sanjay Leela Bhansali backing PM Narendra Modi’s yet another biopic.

In what can be seen as a major turn-around for the narrative of Indian cinema, PM Modi is proving to be a successful brand – which not only can be relied upon but also can deliver immense success.

Popular actor Prabhas recently inaugurated the first look of ‘Mann Bairagi’, a movie to be directed by Ssanjay Tripaathy. The movie, focusing on the teenage years of our PM Narendra Modi, shall be produced by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali along with famous producer Mahaveer Jain, well known for backing offbeat Indian movies such as ‘Chalo Jeete Hain’ and ‘Dekh Indian Circus’.

The same has been confirmed by popular Indian film trade analyst cum film critic Taran Adarsh.

The movie, according to sources, shall focus on how Narendra Modi shaped his ideology since he left his home, refusing to accept his marriage with Jashodaben against his will. This is going to be the third project on PM Narendra Modi’s life, even though it will cover only a portion of his life.

The other two biopics were Omung Kumar’s controversial biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi’, starring Vivek Oberoi in the titular role, and Umesh Shukla’s underrated web series ‘Modi – Journey of a Common Man’, starring Faisal Khan, Ashish Sharma and Mahesh Thakur in the titular role [with respect to the different stages of PM Modi’s life as shown in the series].

This only goes on to prove how recognised PM Modi has become in the past few years. Once demonized as the man who ‘orchestrated 2002 riots’ by the left-liberal intelligentsia, PM Modi has now emerged as a global leader, accepted by one and all. This is another major reason as to why despite every trick up their sleeve, Pakistan has been unable to influence the world with their propaganda on the abrogation of Article 370.

Interestingly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been a darling of the liberal intelligentsia, courtesy the turmoils he had to face into getting his take on the turbulent life of Rani Padmini, the queen of Chittor, i.e. the semi-fictional movie ‘Padmaavat‘ released. Now with the news of Sanjay openly backing a movie about a man who is a nightmare for this very intelligentsia, the left-liberals wouldn’t feel pleased with him. But I guess the truth is stranger than fiction.

Overall, PM Modi is just not a name anymore. He is now a globally renowned brand, accepted by one and all, and instrumental in making India more than just a global pushover. As such, if Sanjay Leela Bhansali has taken the mantle to bring forward another aspect of PM Modi’s life, it only goes on to prove how much influence PM Modi now has in the lives of a common man from India.
