“Strict action has been taken against serious crimes in Uttar Pradesh. In two years 9225 criminals have been arrested and 81 have been killed in encounters. Under the National Security Act, around 200 crores worth property has been confiscated. Dacoity, murder, robbery and abductions have seen an unprecedented decline.”
UP Police further added, “As a result of effective actions by the Uttar Pradesh Police, crimes have reduced by 20-35%. All the sensational cases have been revealed with 48 hours. By firm police action against influential criminals, rule of law has been established in the state.”
Commenting about the law and order in the state of Uttar Pradesh another officer of the Home Department said, “On the second anniversary of incumbent government, the CM had informed that more than 8000 criminals were arrested and more than 1000 injured in over 3500 encounters under his tenure. In addition to this, over 12000 criminals got their bail cancelled and surrendered in court.”
The crime rate in Uttar Pradesh has been a major concern for the citizens and the administration. Under CM Yogi Adityanath administration, law and order has been one of the top agendas and several steps have also been taken in this regard to bring the state out of the hold of criminal syndicates.
Recently, furthering the efforts by the state administration, Yogi Adityanath had also instructed the officials to form teams at the district level to curtail the activity of criminals in the state. “Teams should be formed at the district level to bring crime at lowest possible rates in the state. There is a need to instill the fear of police uniform in the hearts of criminals and it is also needed to identify history-sheeters and bring them to justice,” CM Yogi Adityanath said.
“Strong action also needs to be taken against land-mafia, illegal miners active in the state and work should be done to get their properties seized,” he added.
