PM Modi nips the left liberal propaganda on LK Advani’s blog in the bud

PM Modi, liberal, propaganda

Recently, senior BJP leader and co-founder of the party, Lal Krishna Advani posted a blog online. In this blog, he went candid on his relationship with the BJP and his ideology, maintaining that the nation always came first for him.

Veteran BJP leader LK Advani writes a blog ahead of BJP's Foundation Day on April 6. He writes "Right from its inception, BJP has never regarded those who disagree with us politically as our “enemies”, but only as our adversaries." pic.twitter.com/47zCyYCSPN

However, in the blog, he also mentioned something about his opinion for the political adversaries. To quote him, “The essence of Indian democracy is the respect for diversity and freedom of expression. Right from the inception, the BJP has never regarded those who politically disagree with us as ‘enemies’, but only as our adversaries. Similarly, in our concept of Indian nationalism, we have never regarded those who disagreed with us politically as ‘anti-national’. The party has been committed to freedom of choice of every citizen at personal as well as political level.”

Though this particular statement was quite innocuous, the left liberal intelligentsia sniffed a brilliant opportunity to corner the PM Modi led NDA government. Some of their tweets are mentioned below :-

So LK Advani says:in our concept of Indian nationalism,we have never regarded those who disagree with us politically as ‘anti-national’,we are committed to free choice(let’s hope no one now calls BJP’s original ideological mascot as ‘anti national’ or part of ‘tukde tukde gang’)

Significant intervention from LK Advani given current default mode among ruling @BJP4India to brand all those who disagree or argue as "anti national" and "Pakistan agents" https://t.co/7XidlHcVnL

— Sagarika Ghose (@sagarikaghose) April 4, 2019

According to these tweets, the left liberals wished to convey that there is serious infighting within the BJP and that PM Modi should stop branding every ‘dissenter’ as ‘anti national’.

This was neither surprising, nor something unexpected. The left liberals, unable to influence the voters by their web of lies, are now resorting to the same tricks that got their patrons ousted from power in 2014.

However, nipping their propaganda in the bud, PM Modi himself endorsed LK Advani’s, and praised it as well. Following is his tweet:-

Advani Ji perfectly sums up the true essence of BJP, most notably the guiding Mantra of ‘Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.’

Proud to be a BJP Karyakarta and proud that greats like LK Advani Ji have strengthened it. https://t.co/xScWuuDuMq

— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) April 4, 2019

Besides, BJP has already clarified its stance on labeling someone as anti-national more than once. Way back in 2016, Amit Shah, current BJP President, had mentioned in the India Today Conclave, only days after the JNU fiasco, “BJP has no problems with abuses directed at the party. You have the freedom to criticize me, my party, but not my nation. Abuses to the nation will not be tolerated.”

To be honest, we feel bad for these left liberal intellectuals as well. They’ve changed colors so often that even the British imperialists look saintly when compared to them. In their bid to corner PM Modi, they’re ready to make propaganda out of thin air. However, we’re glad that BJP is alert, refusing to let their guard down.
