Pakistan is asking for trouble by flying drones in Indian airspace

As tensions around the Indo-Pak border are escalating, a series of attacks and counter attacks is unfolding between the two neighbouring countries. Pakistan is trying hard to infiltrate into Indian territory or air-space, however, all such attempts have been curbed by the Indian Armed Forces till now. Yesterday, the Indian Air Force shot down an unidentified flying object that was detected over the Indo-Pak International Border in Bikenar-Nal sector, Rajasthan. Reports suggested that the UAV is most probably a surveillance drone of Pakistan.

According to defense journalist, Shiv Aroor, “Top sources say unidentified Pak aircraft (likely a drone) violated airspace around 11:30am at international border in Rajasthan. IAF jet scrambled, engaged with air-to-air missile, debris fell near Pak sand dune feature called MW Toba (not Fort Abbas)”.

As per ANI report, IAF has deployed Sukhoi-30 combat aircraft after the Pakistani drone was detected infiltrating the air-space of India. The drone was firstly detected by the ground radars that were stationed in the desert sector of Rajasthan and was later shot down by Su-30.

Prior to this, the Indian Army shot down a Pakistani drone on February 26 in Kutch sector of Gujarat. The drone was shot down in Ambasa village and police and defence forces arrived there to examine it afterwards. The drone was destroyed by Spyder air defense system using the Derby missile.

Speaking of the incident, Shiv Aroor tweeted, “It was a Su-30 MKI that brought down the suspected Pakistani drone this morning. This makes it *TWO* Pak drones brought down in 1 week by the IAF — the last was in Abdasa village of Kutch, Gujarat on Feb 26 by an IAF Spyder surface-to-air missile unit”.

Meanwhile, there is no word coming from Pakistan. It is the habit of Pakistan to deny the infiltration of Indian defence forces. They had denied the Uri surgical strike for a long time, in order to mislead their people.  However, some of the images that were on the twitter substantiating the claims of UAV shot down are:

Earlier, in a plain, simple, and daring attack on Pakistan for which Pakistan has no option but to deny it happened at all. The Indian Air Force carried out strikes deep into Pakistan. Balakot is 42 KM away from the PoK Muzzafarabad sector. So, basically, IAF went deep inside Pakistani territory and dropped bombs on Pakistani terror camps. It also means that it has attacked the Pakistani military directly. It is India’s deepest strike against Pakistan since 1971, and IAF jets returned without any casualties completing a successful mission. 

Coming on the heels of getting threats from Pakistan about attacking it and starting a war with it, India has shown them who the boss is. India has shown them that every time they attack India, we can strike back irrespective of the nuclear threat. PM Modi has called the enemy’s bluff, it’s over for Pakistan. Furthermore, the shooting down of two drones shows the alertness of Defence Forces and that they are well equipped and all set to curb down any nefarious intent of Pakistan.
