On a day, when a bomb blast in Jammu killed one person and injured many, the main stream media, in an utterly bizarre and insensitive manner, is focused on stray incident of hooliganism in Lucknow. These ‘epitomes of hypocrisy’, who were quick to paint the Lucknow incident as an act of right wing, asked no questions on terror in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, one of the leading journalists of the ‘liberal’ establishment, Nidhi Razdan, gave ample space to the hooliganism in her prime time show ‘Left, Right & Center’ and ignored the bomb blast in Kashmir.

Earlier, in a stray incident yesterday, some local goons assaulted a Kashmiri dry fruit seller in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The mainstream media as always tried blaming the RSS, BJP and the Modi government for this incident of hooliganism. However, as per the brief by SSP Lucknow, one of the goons has been identified as Bajrang Sonkar. As per the SSP, the accused belongs to a local trust by the name of Vishwa Hindu Dal. The police made it clear that while the said accused has been arrested and a case has been registered, the rest of the accused will also be arrested soon.
The arrested accused is a known criminal. Till 2011, 12 cases had been registered against his name. As such there is nothing to suggest that any organisation, except the local trust of which he is believed to be a member of, was involved in this assault on the Kashmiri dry fruit seller. It is clear that the Vishwa Hindu Dal is a local trust which carried out the attack on the Kashmiri dry fruit seller. There is nothing to suggest that the Vishwa Hindu Dal is anyway related to the RSS or the current dispensation. All attempts to portray accused as an RSS worker seem to be the act of politicising the incident. RSS has been targeted in a uniformed way in the past as well.
Besides, ‘save the democracy’ gang is all set to give oxygen to this vague argument as it suits their narrative. However, this type of diktat is not new for Nidhi Razdan, as the ‘esteemed anchor’ has time and again taken potshot at NDA government and its leaders. In her prime time show on January 25, Razdan deliberately misquoted Union Railways Minister, Piyush Goyal’s statement in her debate. Nidhi Razdan in a promotional tweet for her show ‘Left, Right & Centre’, had claimed, “The Railways Minister now claims that 2.5 lakh people will be employed by his ministry alone in the next 2 years. Last year he had said the railways could create 10 lakh jobs in one year. What’s happening with India’s jobs?” Social media users were quick to expose the hollowness of Nidhi’s claims. They pointed out that Piyush Goyal had actually talked about 10 lakh jobs to be created by the ‘Railway Ecosystem’ including contractual & outsourcing, not directly jobs in the Railways. There is a difference between direct and indirect employment which Nidhi Razdan doesn’t seem to understand. Nidhi Razdan has been a habitual offender when it comes to target the BJP and PM Modi. Interestingly, she blames Modi government without bothering to cross-verify the facts. However, left-liberals like Nidhi always forget that there is neither the absence of a watchdog like social media, nor are the people so dumb that they will lap up whatever they speak.
