In what can be termed as a disgrace for the Congress party, in a panel discussion on Samaa TV, a Pakistan based news channel, a panelist claimed that Congress party will secure victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

It is no longer a secret that there are a lot of well-wishers of the Grand Old party in Pakistan. The Pakistani panelist on Samaa TV was spitting venom against India throughout the interview, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi but interestingly wished for the victory of Grand Old party in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Earlier, a 2016 Pakistan Senate document reveals its policy of supporting anti-Modi forces within India. The document titled, “Policy Guidelines In View Of The Latest Situation-developing between India and Pakistan”, lists out several policy guidelines for Pakistan in order to tackle its bilateral relations with India. Among other things, the document claims that India threatened to unilaterally scrap the Indus Water Treaty and that the Modi government is using water as a weapon.

The Pakistan Senate document makes it clear that the terrorist nation wanted to join hands with the liberal brigade within India and exploit the intolerance-related propaganda against Modi government. It must be kept in mind that these policy directives were drafted by the Pakistani senate in a desperate attempt to weaken and destabilize India.

Therefore, events like Mani Shankar Aiyar taking a pro-Pakistan attitude time and again do not come as much of a surprise. The Pakistan Senate document and moreover the Pakistani panelist on Samaa TV siding with Congress party seems to be a perfect explanation for such distasteful comments by the anti-Modi elements within India. The liberal brigade within India has gone to the extent of criticizing India time and again in the name of criticizing PM Modi. Not only this, whenever a terror attack has been carried out in India by Pakistani based outfits, such anti-Modi elements have usually shifted the blame on allegedly extremist and radical Hindutva policies of the government of the day.

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Pervez Musharraf has accepted Jaish-e-Mohammed’s role in the terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. However, these vulture journalists backed by the Grand Old Party still resorted to shifting the focus from the elephant in the room by firstly manufacturing fake attacks on Kashmiris all over the nation, then liberal mouthpiece, Barkha Dutt came up with her own episode on Twitter and finally Caravan magazine came out with a divisive article demeaning to the martyrs.

What is particularly disturbing is the fact that some elements within India are still backing Pakistan’s narrative and indulging in a political blame game at the time of utter grief for the whole nation. It seems they are unable to comprehend the sinister conspiracy hatched by Pakistan. It is saddening to think of that the oldest party of India that has ruled the nation for more than 5 decades is playing into the hands of Pakistan.
