To protect terrorists, Pakistan deploys military

Pakistan launched a military attack on India, targeting the Brigade Headquarters in Nawshera sector. This act of aggression came after India’s action yesterday to eradicate terrorism and so Pakistan’s response was an act of support for terror infrastructure which it has nurtured. The targeting of military installations, however, clearly is an act of war.

It has come to light that Pakistan military force had decided to raid the Indian brigade headquarters. This was the act of war that was thwarted by MiG-21 Bison. The Pakistani military had entered into the Indian airspace to attack the Brigade headquarters.

Over and above this, the Pakistani government has been indulging in fake claims since morning. DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor stated that they do not want war and will never initiate war from their side. Pakistan violating Indian airspace was just an act of “self-defence.” They claimed to have only targeted those spots where “we were sure we won’t harm any civilians.” In light of the intelligence report regarding their real target, that was the Brigade headquarters, it is visible that Pakistan is clearly spoiling for a war.

Moreover, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated that “Pakistan has targeted military installations on Indian side. During that we have lost one fighter jet. One pilot has been missing. Pakistan has claimed they have arrested him.”

India successfully eradicated the terror camps of Jaish-e-Muhammad, a UNSC sanctioned terrorist organization originating from Pakistan, yesterday. Pakistan was not in any kind of threat, anticipated or otherwise from India as the established precedence proves, India is the most non-violent and peace-loving country. IAF air strike was exclusively focused on the terrorist camps, which they successfully eliminated, without any civilian or military casualties. This whole act of aggression on Pakistan only demonstrates their willingness to protect and avenge terrorists seeking shelter in their territory.

The UN Charter, of whose Pakistan is a signatory, came into existence after the terrors of World War II, the bloodiest war in the history of mankind.  The sole principle of the Charter was to maintain peaceful relations among the countries so that they don’t resort to war. Article 1, which lays down the purposes of the UN charter states,

Article 1

The Purposes of the United Nations are:

  1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
  2. To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;
  3. To achieve international co-operation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character, and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion; and
  4. To be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations in the attainment of these common ends.

Pakistan has clearly violated the provisions of the Charter by resorting to violence as a means in furtherance to a dispute wherein the UN Charter through Chapter VI makes the provision of seeking a solution through negotiation, inquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement and if the requisite solution does not arise then the parties are to seek the Security Council for settlement of the dispute. Pakistan did not attempt any of these legitimate means and instead straight away initiated an act of war, that too to protect their terrorists.

Countries all over the globe, France, USA, Australia, Dominican Republic and even now Russia and China have offered their support to India in their fight against terrorism, as it’s an international issue. They are appreciating the fact that India risked its own pilots for the greater worldly good. But Pakistan, instead of taking active measures to eradicate terrorist camps on their own territory is initiating acts of war to avenge the eradication of the terrorists. It’s almost as though Pakistan enjoys keeping the heinous terrorists around.
