Even as tensions escalate between India and Pakistan after the Pulwama terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF soldiers gave the supreme sacrifice, Jaish e Mohammed (JeM) head, Masood Azhar has practically gone into election mode. In what once again shows the animosity of the Pakistan government towards the Modi government, Azhar has openly called for removing the Narendra Modi government.

In an audio clip, Masood Azhar, head of the UN designated terror organisation, Jaish e Mohammed, can be heard asking Pakistan to stay strong and also suggesting that if Pakistan remains strong, PM Modi will go backwards. He also warned that if the Pakistan government comes under pressure, then the Modi government will regain its position. He said, ”Pakistan’s response to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s threats post Pulwama was rather lukewarm and lacklustre. It appears Pakistan is scared of India.”

It seems that Masood Azhar is trying to ensure that his country can somehow muster the courage to stand up against India and the immense international pressure it has been facing post the Pulwama terror attack. He also asked the Pakistani government not to succumb under pressure from India and warned it against taking any action against him.

The stress of Masood Azhar was on attacking the Modi government. He also accused the Pakistani media of being unduly afraid of India. The terrorist who seems to be in a state of fear said that those who say that the Pulwama terror attack will benefit PM Modi politically are totally wrong. He added that such people don’t have the understanding of politics and the Hindu psyche. Azhar claimed that Prime Minister Modi’s popularity will go down as it exposes the Modi government’s claims of the success of ‘operation all out’ against terrorists in the valley.

Analysts in Srinagar have opined that Azhar’s rant is nothing but a desperate attempt to boost the morale of the Jaish terrorists who are in a state of disarray even as the security forces killed two Pakistani and one local Jaish terrorist 100 hours within the Pulwama terror attack.

It is clear that the JeM chief understands that India is going to retaliate in an unprecedented manner this time around. Emotions are running high in India and the Modi government has also vowed to take revenge by inflicting disproportionate damage on Pakistan. Pakistan is already in a state of panic fearing that India will start retaliating at any given point of time.

Masood Azhar understands that as long as the Modi government is in power Pakistan and its terror outfits don’t really have any breathing space. Having taken a tough stance against terror, PM Modi is ready to mount a massive assault on terrorism on the Pakistani soil. Azhar fears for his own life and that is why he has practically gone into election mode, strongly pitching for removing the Modi government in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in India.
