The World Cancer Day is observed on February 4 in order to raise awareness about cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. Different symbols are employed to help promote the fight against different types of cancers: Pink ribbon is a global symbol of breast cancer awareness while the orange ribbon is symbol of child cancer awareness. The theme for World Cancer Day 2019 is “I am and I will” – all about your story and your commitment.
It was on this day I stumbled across a tweet by noted homeopathic doctor- Dr. Nandini Sharma. Dr. Sharma had a special message for the people. To remove the scourge of cancer which has devastated lives of many, Dr. Sharma urged the people to “reflect on the devastation caused by cancer, show support to survivors & those fighting for their lives due to the disease.
