PM Narendra Modi is set to embark on a three-day visit to the state of Gujarat. In a significant visit, not only will he spearhead the campaign for the 2019 elections, but will also inaugurate the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, which is touted to be India’s ‘first digital and paperless hospital’.

As a part of the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ summit, PM Modi is on a 3-day tour to the state of Gujarat, where he will not only attend the iconic summit, but also inaugurate the ten-day long Amdavad Shopping Festival, as well as the Vibrant Global Trade Show, apart from making a visit to the union territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

However, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute is not only a game changer in terms of providing efficient medical services, but it is also a fitting reply to those critics, who have mocked PM Modi for not doing enough in terms of providing efficient medical services.

This is despite the fact that PM Modi led NDA government has given more than enough to us Indians in the said field, be it providing lifesaving medicines at affordable rates under ‘Jan Aushadhi Scheme’, or providing accessible healthcare to all through the breakthrough ‘Ayushman Bharat Scheme’, nicknamed ‘ModiCare’.

Built at the cost of Rs. 750 crore, with rupees 331 crore assistance from the Mukhyamantri Swarnim Yojana, the super specialty SVP hospital in Ahmedabad is living proof of why the iconic Gujarat model of development is here to stay. Following are some of the images of the iconic hospital, which indicates how much the Gujarat government is committed towards the well-being of the masses:-

To quote municipal commissioner of Ahmedabad Vijay Nehra, “All equipment are state-of-the-art and on par with global standards. For example, take the radiology department. With the equipment that we have procured already or plan to procure in the coming days, there is no place in the country providing better radiology facilities, either in the private sector or the public sector. We have spent Rs 8 crore for a dedicated data centre in SVP Hospital.”

Interestingly, this hospital is one of the first in India that is not only the state of the art but will also require the least of paperwork, as confirmed by Mr. Nehra. Though the list is quite infinite, following are some of the interesting features of this hospital, touted to be Gujarat’s version of AIIMS:-

Either out of blind hatred for PM Modi or for anything that is beneficial for the nation or even both, the left liberals have mocked anything that has happened for the good of Gujarat. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, in his bid to corner UP CM Yogi Adityanath, had even mocked the medical services of Gujarat and suggested people to come to Kerala to avail the best of medical services. It is another matter altogether that the CM had to go to the USA when he was struck down by a respiratory ailment. Moreover, given how the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute looks as of now, we know that this is exactly the model of Gujarat development that PM Modi wishes to extend to the entire nation.
