From denying the SPG to remain in the protective circle and greeting kids after republic day parade to interacting with them on various occasions, PM Modi and the student fraternity share a relation of sheer friendliness. PM Modi very well understands the need to nourish the younger generation and in order to do so; he has at times interacted with the students.

Recently, in his bid to share the burden of students as the season of examinations approaches, PM Modi’s session, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with students was organized in the national capital.

In the session, the PM interacted with students, teachers, and parents about examinations and the stress it brings with it. Highlighting the importance of PM’s session, an official from HRD Ministry said, “The competition is only for students studying from classes 9 to 12, graduate and undergraduate college students, their parents and teachers. Selected participants will have an opportunity to attend an interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

In the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ event, Indian students from Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore also took part and got the opportunity to hear from the PM about how to cope up with the staggering challenges, the life throws since students’ life itself.

A concerned  mother approached PM Modi with a question during his interactive session on exam stress. She explained, “Mera batcha padhai mein bohot acha tha, teachers appreciate kar rahe the lekin kuch samaye se online games ki taraf uska jhukaav kuch zyada hi badh gaya hai, jiske kaaran uski padhai par furak pad raha hai. Meine usse bohot samjhane ki koshish ki hai lekin mujhe lagta hai mein asafal hun.” After stating her problem she went on to seek PM Modi’s advice, “Kripaya mera marg darshan ki jiye, ki mein iss stithi ko kaise sambhalun. Dhanyavaad.”

PM Modi stood up to address her concern and with a warm smile asked, “Ye PUBG wala hai kya?”. The crowd burst into applause and guffawed for a considerable duration. PUBG is an online multiplayer battle game. The Indian youth has proven to be a very faithfully devoted demographic for PUBG since it was published in 2017. PM Modi’s question shows clearly that he is aware of the minutest details regarding today’s youth and the Indian public in general, a connect that most high ranking politicians fail to maintain. It is evident from the audience’s reaction that the extent of the Prime Minister’s knowledge on issues that preoccupy the Indian public came as a pleasant surprise.
