According to OpIndia, on Wednesday one of Congress’ party workers named SP Manju claimed that she had entered the holy shrine and had a ‘darshan’ of the presiding deity Lord Ayyappa in the early hours of Tuesday.
SP Manju, who entered the temple disguised as an old woman, claimed that she trekked to the temple scaling 18 holy steps by carrying an “irumudikettu” (bag of holy offerings that Ayyappa devotees carry) to enter the Sabarimala shrine. Last week, the entry of two women in Sabarimala temple had triggered widespread protests in the state.
In a Facebook post, she said, “I had a fruitful darshan of the presiding deity. I came as an ordinary pilgrim. But, of course, to dodge protestors, I dyed my hair white and pretended to be an aged woman. Nobody noticed me and I will continue my visit in future also”. Interestingly, SP Manju has also contested local elections on the Congress ticket and has more than 14 criminal cases pending against her. She too is an active worker of the Mahila Dalit Federation, a left-leaning Dalit union.
According to a media report, SP Manju had also been a member of the left-leaning organization including Communist Party of India (Marxist) and its student’s union.
Earlier, a young Muslim and a Christian woman had attempted to enter the shrine disguised as devotees. One of them, Rehana Fatima attempted to desecrate the premises as she carried a used sanitary pad. Also, Rehana’s Facebook posts were highly derogatory and were directed against Hinduism finally leading to her arrest. Women from the Manithi organisation of Tamil Nadu also attempted to enter and in their bid to so, they protested outside the holy premises. Bhagwan Ayyappa’s devotees organised Ayyappa Jyoti, a peaceful protest wherein thousands of devotees participated. Later, 1400 of these peaceful protestors were arrested by the Communist government.
The Communist government of the state arrested various activists and leaders of the BJP. A country-made bomb was hurled at BJP MP V Muraleedharan’s house at Vadiyil Peedikia near Thalassery and an RSS office in Kannur was also set ablaze by unknown assailants. In another instance, Communist goons killed a Sabarimala devotee named Chandran Unnithaan, but state government claimed that he died due to a heart attack while the police report revealed that it was a murder. Subsequently, State Mahila Morcha General Secretary of BJP, advocate Nivedita had also been arrested from her house for chanting the Ayyappa mantra in Kerala. Also, the BJP State Secretary Krishnakumar was slapped with four cases for protesting against the verdict of Supreme Court. Also, more than 5000 cases had been registered against Bhagwan Ayyappa devotees.

In the name of gender equality, the Communist government of the state and the Congress party both seem to be hell-bent to divide and estrange Hindus. Instilling an illusory emotion of a kind of renaissance among women who could not be more ignorant about Hindu traditions and beliefs, the left-liberal parties have managed to deliberately assault the Hindu traditions.
