It looks like the troubles aren’t going to end anytime soon for either Congress or their new poster boy for petty politics, i.e. Navjot Singh Sidhu. Enraged by the blatant misinformation spread by Sidhu about their channel, Zee News has decided to file a defamation suit amounting to a mammoth figure of Rs. 1000 crore against the same.

Only recently, popular journalist and host of Zee News’ popular show DNA, Sudhir Chaudhary posted a tweet about the 1000 crore legal suit that was filed against Navjot Sidhu for his defamatory allegations, as noted below:-

Here, Mr. Sidhu has been given an ultimatum of 24 hours to apologize for his false, misleading allegations, or else, he should be prepared for the subsequent legal proceedings. They’ve also clarified about the complaints, backed with irrefutable evidence.

For those unaware, during the devious election campaign that worked surprisingly in the favour of Congress, Navjot Singh Sidhu was accused by Zee News of allowing the violation of the code of conduct when people attending his Alwar rally raised seditious slogans like ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. As a result, they made an official complaint against Congress to the Election Commission on the same grounds.

However, instead of apologizing for the blunder, Congress and Navjot Sidhu cried foul, accusing Zee News of peddling fake videos against them. While Sidhu threatened a legal action, using a mocking phrase like ‘naani yaad aa jayegi’ as written in the notice, notorious Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala mocked Zee News in the following fashion, that would make even the likes of Dhruv Rathee run for their money:-

This is neither the first time that Congress has resorted to such deceit, nor this is the first time that Zee News had to invoke the ire of the dynasty loving Congress party. From the times when Congress ousted NDA from power over the fake ‘Kargil Coffin scam’, to their recent cringe fest on the Rafale deal, Congress has been a repeat offender when it comes to peddling lies shamelessly. Of course, their one-sided love for Pakistan, which Navjot Sidhu has taken way too seriously, is on another level altogether.

Besides, not many might know this, but notorious Congressman cum industrialist Naveen Jindal had once got Sudhir Chaudhary arrested on false charges of extortion by providing doctored sting operation videos to the Delhi police. As a result, despite being innocent, Sudhir was forced to spend a few days in Tihar jail, even though the charges against were never proved at all. As such, threats of punitive action and heckling by Congressmen isn’t anything new for this journalist.

We’re no strangers to the heckling that Mr. Sudhir Chaudhary received from Bengal government for covering the notorious Dhulagarh riots without bias. As such, it is really commendable on the part of Zee News to have filed a criminal suit, because there is a limit to everything, even the web of lies peddled for months by the Congress.
